This study aims at investigating the persistence of antidepressant effect of Nitrous Oxide (N2O) for Treatment-Resistant Depression(TRD). The investigators also aim to assess the effect of N2O on the electroencephalograph, multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), blood cytokines, feces bacteria flora and neuropsychological performance in patients with TRD. The investigators further aim to identify the predictors of N2O's antidepressant effeect using the above techniques.

A recent systematic review found that therapeutic interventions that apply principles of motor learning with intense practice improve functional upper extremity movement in children with unilateral CP. Evidence of efficacy for any treatment approach aimed at improving motor function in bilateral CP (the most prevalent form) is lacking. Preliminary investigation suggests that intensive (90 hours) goal-directed, task-specific training provided in a 3-week day camp format can improve functional movement of both the upper (UE) and lower extremity (LE) and postural control in children with BCP. To date, HABIT-ILE has only been provided in a day camp setting over several weeks. Implementing the dosing schedule of this promising intensive approach in a hospital setting requires innovative resource allocation (space and staff); thus, examining alternative delivery models is imperative. The purpose of this study is to conduct a multi-center randomized control trial (RCT) to determine whether 90 hours of HABIT-ILE improves functional motor skills, activity and motivation in children with BCP when dosed in a camp format at 6-hours/day, 5 days/week for three weeks and 6-hours/day, one day/week for 15 weeks.

Human safety studies will be carried out to test whether red clover botanical dietary supplements used by peri- and post-menopausal women are safe to use with Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drugs. To test this, a red clover dietary supplement (previously tested in women at the University of Illinois at Chicago without any harmful effects) will be given with four selected FDA-approved drugs to determine if the Licorice supplement can increase or decrease how these medications are absorbed, metabolized and excreted by the human body. Preclinical studies predict that the licorice supplement might affect the metabolism or break down of these probe drugs.
Primary aim of this study is to identify independent factors associated with difficult videolaryngoscopic intubation in patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial (OMF) or ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery. Furthermore, this study intends to assess the diagnostic value of preoperative flexible nasal videoendoscopy to predict difficult videolaryngoscopic intubation in these patients.

This is a prospective cohort pilot study. The investigators are planning to develop an original, standardized colorectal anastomosis inspection method, which will systemically inspect the anastomosis vascularity using the indocyanine green fluorescent angiography intraluminally and intraperitoneally, the air leak test, the methylene blue test, the tension in the anastomosis inspection, patients' risk factors scale sum. The summarized evaluation will determine the final anastomotic leak risk.
