Filter by:This is a pilot feasibility study of remotely delivered Problem Management Plus, a low-intensity psychological intervention, delivered in five sessions to adults affected by crisis. The current study will evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of the intervention when delivered remotely via Zoom to community members in New York City impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The investigator's goal is to use qualitative and quantitative approaches to inform procedures for a subsequent cluster randomized control trial of Problem Management Plus versus enhanced usual care. A mixed-methods design will be used to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, perceived utility, and impact of the remotely delivered PM+ intervention, to determine recruitment and retention rates, to assess ethics and safety of trial procedures. Additionally, the study will evaluate the acceptability, feasibility and fidelity of the remote training and supervision of helpers trained to deliver the intervention.
The primary objective of this study is to test the feasibility and efficacy of Internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adolescents (13 - 17 years) with sleep problems (ICBT-I). All participants will receive ICBT-I for six weeks. The investigators will also evaluate the effect of the intervention on comorbid psychiatric symptoms and function.

The aim of this randomised, placebo-controlled, 3-way blinded study was to determine the effect on GIS symptoms, pain and anxiety of acupressure applied for a total of 12 mins, as 3 mins at each of the ST25, CV12, TH6 and HT7 acupuncture points, at 0, 4 and 8 hours after laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation. The research data were collected using a patient data collection form, the Numeric Pain Intensity Scale and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. The patients were evaluated in respect of the time to first flatus and defecation, pain and the State-Trait Anxiety points at 0, 4, and 8 hours postoperatively.

This is a single-arm, prospective, interventional study in cancer survivors and patients to examine the feasibility of a mobile health application, Elly (Elly Health Inc.), to reduce levels of anxiety, stress, loneliness, and social isolation. Participants will be given access to the Elly phone application developed by Elly Health Inc. and will be asked to complete questionnaires measuring quality of life at multiple timepoints during the study.
The aim is to measure anxiety level and burnout frequency of healthcare workers including attending physicians, residents and nurses working at intensive care unit during COVID-19 pandemic. The study protocol had consisted of three parts. The first part was related to demographic details including age, sex, marital status, working position, past medical history. The second part of the survey was validated Turkish form of Beck anxiety inventory (BAI) It has 21 questions. Every question is a somatic symptom of anxiety. Participants scored them regarding how this symptom bothered them past week. Items have four possible answers: not at all (0 point), mildly (1 point), moderate (2 point), severe (3 point). Total anxiety score can be between 0 and 63. Participants were categorized as no or mild anxiety if the total beck anxiety score was between 0-16, and moderate to severe anxiety if it was more than 16 The last part of the survey was validated Turkish form of Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to evaluate components of BOS
Washington University will evaluate the acceptability and effectiveness of a mobile health (mHealth) intervention to provide cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents with depression.
Preoperative anxiety of patients who will undergo septorhinoplasty surgery will be measured and their hemodynamic parameters will be recorded afterwards. Then, a video will be shown to the patients through virtual reality glasses and the effect of this application on their anxiety will be investigated.
