Study on the Difference and Cause of Acupuncture Dexmedetomidine Compound Anesthesia Effect
Studies have shown that the use of dexmedetomidine before and during surgery has a good sedative, analgesic and circulatory stabilizing effect. The use of dexmedetomidine in thoracoscopic lung resection has been proven to be safe and feasible, and it has a certain degree of improvement in postoperative lung function. Combining the advantages of thoracoscopy and the previous experience of combined acupuncture and drug anesthesia technology, our team pioneered cardiopulmonary surgery without endotracheal intubation and combined needle and drug anesthesia, so that the patient was in a state of light sleep and spontaneous breathing without tracheal intubation. After completing the operation, it was found that this technical method can effectively reduce the amount of intraoperative anesthetics, improve intraoperative lung ventilation, improve lung oxygenation, achieve intraoperative organ protection, and significantly reduce complications caused by tracheal intubation , Postoperative analgesic drugs have reduced the amount of 20%, accelerate the time of exhaust and defecation, and its postoperative rehabilitation is better than conventional treatment. These results suggest that the combination of acupuncture and medicine is not only suitable for anesthesia, it can be used scientifically and rationally in postoperative analgesia, immune regulation and even the entire perioperative organ protection, creating more possibilities for patients' ERAS. In combined acupuncture and drug anesthesia, the core goal is to use acupuncture to reduce the insufficiency of anesthetics in terms of analgesia, sedation, stable circulation, and protection of organs. However, the mechanism of action behind this type of combination has not yet been improved. Efficacy kinetics or pharmacokinetics has been explained convincingly, or it is not well recognized. For example, is there a specific target in the body of acupuncture? If there is a specific target, where is the effect target? If the combined application of acupuncture and medicine produces a synergistic effect through a pharmacokinetic mechanism, its specific mechanism still needs to be clarified.

Acupuncture for Patients With Major Depressive Disorder: Study Protocol of a Randomized Controlled Trial
Several studies investigating acupuncture for major depressive disorder (MDD) have been carried out. However, investigators found the results were in high heterogeneity and poor methodological quality. Thus, investigators intend to provide high quality of the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for MDD.

Transcutaneous Electrical Acupoint Stimulation (TEAS) and Dense Cranial Electroacupuncture Stimulation (DCEAS) for Psychiatric Sequelae and Related Biomarkers in Women Victims of Domestic Violence: a Randomized Controlled Trial
This is an assessor-blinded, randomized controlled trial. A total of 110 women victims of domestic violence aged 18-65 years will be recruited from local community centers and domestic violence shelters (refugee centers). They will be randomly assigned to routine care combined with (n = 55) and without (n = 55) additional acupuncture (TEAS+DCEAS) for 12 weeks. Acupuncture therapy will be conducted with 2 DCEAS sessions at clinics and 3 TEAS sessions at home each week. The primary outcome is the Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II) for depression. Secondary outcomes include the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-17) for depression, Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) for stress, PTSD Check List-Civilian Version (PCL-C) for PTSD symptoms, Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) for sleep and 12-Item Short Form Survey (SF-12) for quality of life. Two 10-ml blood samples will be drawn respectively at baseline and at the end of 12-week study. A generalized linear mixed-effect model will be applied to compare treatment outcomes over time in the two groups and linear regression will be conducted to examine inter-correlations among clinical improvement and changes in biomarker levels.

Analyzing the Brain Alterations of Acupuncture on Patients With Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome Evaluated by fMRI: Study Protocol for a Randomized Trial
Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) is one of the most common diseases in urology, but its pathogenesis remains unclear and the effective therapy lacks. As a kind of chronic pain which the patients suffered for more than 3 months, CP/CPPS could be alleviated by acupuncture. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and higher magnetic field strengths could enable scientists to investigate the brain accurately and non-invasively during every stage of chronic pain.To avoid placebo effect, sham acupuncture would be also enrolled.Herein, by the utilization of fMRI in resting-state, we investigated the influence on patients' brain alterations after the patients accepted the treatment of acupuncture.
