MalnutritiOn Assessment With biOelectrical impedaNce Analysis in gastRic Cancer patIentS Undergoing Multimodal trEatment - MOONRISE Study

The aim of this single-arm prospective, multicenter, cross-sectional study is to evaluate the nutritional status and body composition on tumor regression grade with bioelectrical impedance analysis in gastric cancer patients undergoing multimodal treatment. Results of this study will reveal whether nutritional status and body composition assessment based on bioelectrical impedance analysis will become a validated and objective tool to support clinical decisions in gastric cancer patients undergoing multimodal treatment.

Retrospective Analysis of Colorectal Cancer Screening Results

Retrospective Analysis of Colorectal Cancer Screening Results Among People Aged 40-74 in Shipai Town, Dongguan City, China

The purpose of this study is to retrospectively analyze colorectal cancer screening data of 40-74 year old population in Shipai Town, Dongguan City. In this study, the data of SDC2 Gene Methylation Test and Fecal Immunochemistry Test (Q-FIT) were screened from about 11,000 subjects who participated in Colorectal Cancer Screening in Shipai Town People's Livelihood Project from May 2021 to May 2022. Data from 822 subjects with positive SDC2 Gene Methylation Test and/or positive Fecal Immunochemistry Test (Q-FIT) results and with colonoscopy and/or pathological results were selected for retrospective analysis. This retrospective study evaluated the screening performance of SDC2 Gene Methylation Test and/or Fecal Immunochemistry Test (Q-FIT) for colorectal cancer using colonoscopy and/or pathological results as the clinical standard method.

Lesion Composition and Quantitative Imaging Analysis on Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Lesion Composition and Quantitative Imaging Analysis on Breast Cancer Diagnosis

The objective is to better identify suspicious breast lesions that need to be biopsied for malignancy in women currently recommended for biopsy. The long-term goal is to reduce unnecessary biopsies and increase biopsy yield. To do this, the investigators have developed an innovative way to use FDA-approved breast imaging protocols to acquire multispectral images to measure the composition of suspicious breast lesions. The central hypothesis is that breast tissue composition in combination with analysis of morphological and textural tissue characteristics on digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) imaging will yield significantly higher breast cancer specificity than conventional interpretation of DBT alone.

Tumor Microenvironment Analysis of Prostate Cancer Metastasis

Connecting Lineage Target Expression and Immune Tumor Microenvironment Analysis of Prostate Cancer Metastasis

The purpose of this study is to collect prostate cancer tissue from males with metastatic prostate cancers in order to study the tumor microenvironment (TME), which is the area surrounding the tumor including cells, blood vessels, etc., in men with metastatic prostate cancer. The type of research performed on these tissue samples include genetic & molecular analyses.

Hybrid-sensor Breath Analysis for Colorectal Cancer Screening - HYCOR

Hybrid-sensor Breath Analysis for Colorectal Cancer Screening (HYCOR)

The aim of this project is to promote the breath volatile marker concept for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening by advancing developing the application of a novel hybrid analyzer for the purpose. The hybrid analyzer concept is expected to benefit of combining metal-oxide (MOX) and infrared spectrum (IR) sensor acquired data. The current study will be the first globally to address this concept in CRC detection. In addition, traditional methods, in particular, gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) will be used to address the biological relevance of the VOCs emission from cancer tissue and will assist in further advances of the hybrid-sensing approach.
