NCT ID: NCT03613363 Completed - Pulmonary Disease Clinical Trials

Engineering Evaluation of the Helix Ventilator

Start date: June 6, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will be used to evaluate and observe the overall performance and controls of the Helix ventilator. Pressure and flow data between participants' current devices and the Helix ventilator will be assessed in either invasive or non-invasive ventilation. To evaluate ventilator performance, pressure and waveform data will be assessed as well. Also, patient and caregiver feedback will be captured. The target population is infants to adults weighing more than 5kg. Participants will be recruited by Boston Children's Health Physician's Group. Up to thirty participants will be enrolled in the study.

NCT ID: NCT03530059 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Fast-Track Rehabilitation

FTR
Start date: February 9, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study is a prospective observational study which aim to evaluate the feasibility of a total and systematic home respiratory rehabilitation training program in patients who will undergo thoracic surgery, and otherwise tend to define failure reasons.

NCT ID: NCT03476629 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Effects of Different Types of Physical Training in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

PAH
Start date: January 10, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Although there has been some progress in pharmacological management of PAH, limited functional capacity and low survival still persist, but there is evidence that exercise training can be accomplished without adverse effects or damage to cardiac function and pulmonary hemodynamics. Specifically, improvements in symptoms, exercise capacity, peripheral muscle function and quality of life. Training programs need to be better studied and well defined, and their physiological effects during physical training and functional capacity. The aim of this study is to compare the effects of different training exercises on physical performance indicators.

NCT ID: NCT03461887 Completed - Chronic Disease Clinical Trials

Home-based Exercise Training for COPD Patients

HOMEX-1
Start date: January 24, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a home-based exercise training program in COPD patients who have completed a pulmonary rehabilitation.

NCT ID: NCT03432117 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Evaluate Efficacy of Respiratory Rehabilitation Personalized Mobile Services for Respiratory Diseases

Start date: May 15, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial is multicenter prospective study to evaluate clinical efficacy of respiratory rehabilitation personalized mobile services for respiratory disease.

NCT ID: NCT03426488 Recruiting - Cancer Clinical Trials

Northern Sweden Health and Disease Study

NSHDS
Start date: January 1986
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

NSHDS (Northern Sweden Health and Disease Study) is an umbrella term for a prospective biobank with related survey data. The sample collection consists of three subcohorts, Västerbotten Intervention Programme (VIP), Mammography Screening Project (MA) and MONICA (MONItoring of Trends and Determinants in CArdiovascular Disease). The blood samples are stored at the Northern Sweden Biobank.

Contribution of Four Pulmonary Function Tests to Diagnosis in the Primary Care.

Start date: April 25, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Contribution of four pulmonary function tests to diagnosis in patients with respiratory symptoms in the primary care.

NCT ID: NCT03392129 Recruiting - Asthma Clinical Trials

Ai Chi Method for Children With Asthma

Start date: December 20, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study has the aim to assess the effectiveness of the Ai Chi method as an adjunct therapy in the treatment of children with asthma.

Сohort Study to Evaluate Exacerbations, Respiratory Symptoms, Physical Exercise Intolerance and Lung Functions Among Participants Who Use IQOS With Heatsticks Compared to Smokers of Conventional Cigarettes

Start date: December 16, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study evaluates frequency of exacerbations, respiratory symptoms, physical exercise intolerance and abnormal lung functions among participants who use IQOS with heatsticks compared to smokers of conventional cigarettes

NCT ID: NCT03376204 Withdrawn - Bronchiectasis Clinical Trials

Pain Mechanisms in Patients With Bronchiectasis

Start date: September 29, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Pain mechanisms and their clinical impact in patients with bronchiectasis have not been investigated yet. The aim of the research is to assess the presence of central pain mechanisms in patients with bronchiectasis using the Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) assumptions.
