NCT ID: NCT05515302 Recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

Effect of Playing an Audio Clip for Pain and Anxiety Control in Patients While Dressing Burn Wounds

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this clinical trial is to assess the effect of playing patient preferred audio clip for controlling the pain and anxiety in patients while dressing burn wounds. The age group to be selected for this explicit examination is 18 years and above. The researcher will assess the pain and anxiety levels in both experimental and control groups having sample size of 50 each using standardized tools. The patient in intervention group will be offered selected audio clips to choose from. The patient preferred audio clips will be played for 10 days while the control group will be provided with treatment as usual. After collecting the data from both groups, it will be compared to analyze the effectiveness of listening to the audio clips chosen by the patient.

NCT ID: NCT05492188 Recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

Neuropathic Pain and Operant Conditioning of Cutaneous Reflexes After SCI

Start date: March 27, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the second part of the study is to examine the effect of reflex training in the leg to decrease neuropathic pain. For this, the researchers are recruiting 15 individuals with neuropathic pain due to spinal cord injury to participate in the reflex training procedure. The study involves approximately 50 visits with a total study duration of about 6.5 months (3 months for baseline and training phases followed by 1 month and 3 month follow-up visits).

NCT ID: NCT05455645 Recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

The Therapeutic Effect of Targeted Intrinsic Foot Muscles Exercises in Plantar Fasciitis

Start date: August 30, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A reduction of intrinsic foot muscle sizes has been identified in patients with chronic plantar fasciitis. Weaker intrinsic foot muscles has been suggested to decrease the medial longitudinal arch height and subsequently increase extra tensile stress in the plantar fascia, resulting in the chronicity of the condition. Therefore, it is speculated that atrophic intrinsic foot muscles may be a significant risk factor of developing chronic plantar fasciitis. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of an 8-week targeted intrinsic foot muscles exercise regimen on the intrinsic foot muscle size, symptomatic relief, and foot function improvement in long-distance runners with chronic plantar fasciitis.
