NCT ID: NCT05679310 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Innovative Biotechnological Production of Antioxidant Products

Antiox-Plus
Start date: February 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Several natural compounds have been explored as immune-boosting, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory dietary supplements. Amongst them, hydroxytyrosol a natural antioxidant found in olive products, and endemic medicinal plants have attracted the scientific's community and industry's interest. The safety and biological activity of a standardised supplement containing 10 mg of hydroxytyrosol synthesized using genetically modified Escherichia coli strains and equal amounts (8.33 μL) of essential oils from oregano vulgaris, sage officinalis and crithmum maritimum in an open-label, single-arm, prospective clinical study were studied. The supplement capsules were given to 12 healthy subjects, aged 26-52, once a day for 8 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05675163 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Antioxidant and Immune Effects of Vitamin K2

ProteK2t
Start date: November 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to obtain insight into a dose-dependent effect of vitamin K2 on oxidative stress and specific markers of the immune system.

NCT ID: NCT05673395 Completed - Oxidative Stress Clinical Trials

Drinking Effect of Electrolyzed Alkaline Reduced Water on Oxidative Stress and Fatigue After Intense Exercise

Start date: June 13, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to test the drinking effect of electolyzed alkaline reduced water (ARW) generated from alkaline ionizer (CGM MWPI-2101) on oxidative stress and fatigue after high-intensity exercise in healthy people. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - [question 1] Can pH 9.5 EARW reduce oxidative stress compared to purified water (PW) - [question 2] Can pH 9.5 EARW decrease fatigue markers in blood Participants will drink water from the experimental device after high-intensity exercise. Blood sample will be collected before exercise, after highly intensive exercise, and after then 15 min. of drinking water. Researchers will compare EARW group and PW group to see the anti-oxidative and anti-fatigue effects.

NCT ID: NCT05646693 Recruiting - Oxidative Stress Clinical Trials

Effect of Combined Antioxidant Therapy on Oxidative Stress Markers and Inflammatory Cytokines in Patients With Tinnitus

Start date: December 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The main objective of our study is to evaluate the effect of combinated antioxidants therapy with Adepsique® (amitriptyline, perphenazine, and diazepam) on patients with tinnitus chronic symptoms, evaluating the levels of inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress in blood. The researchers intend to include 58 patients, divided into two intervention groups, who will be randomly assigned a pill with antioxidants or placebo, and the patient must eat one pill per day for 3 months. In the study, the clinical characteristics of tinnitus, inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress markers will be evaluated, before, during and after the intervention with antioxidant therapy. Subsequently, the clinical and sample results will be evaluated to compare the effects between them.

NCT ID: NCT05628766 Completed - Infertility Clinical Trials

Thiol/Disulphide Homeostasis in Unexplained Infertility

Start date: November 30, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim in this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between Thiol / Disulphide levels in primary infertile patients and comparing them with infertile patients and the control group. For this purpose, 41 women followed up with the diagnosis of primary infertility in Siirt Training and Research Hospital between November 2022 and January 2023 will be included in the study. The same number of (n:41) non-infertile control women will be included. Age, pregnancy history and medical history of both groups will be recorded. FSH, LH, E2, TSH, and prolactin levels taken routinely in these patients will be examined. Thiol/disulphide levels in the blood will be checked by taking whole blood from these patients. In the light of the information thus obtained, the investigator plan to determine whether there is a relationship between oxidant/antioxidant balance in primary infertile patients.

NCT ID: NCT05603429 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Investigation of Myocardial Protection Level With Specific Cardioplegia Methods in Cardiac Surgery

Start date: October 13, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Investigating the myocardial effects of cold blood cardioplegia and del nido cardioplegia solution, which are routinely used in clinical practice, will contribute to the studies in the literature on the safety and efficacy of these two methods. For this purpose, patients with coronary artery disease that going to be Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery will be classified within the scope of the SYNTAX score, the level of exposure to cardioplegia change in proportion to their score will be examined. Also, left ventricular muscle mass will be calculated in patients who will undergo Aortic Valve replacement (AVR) due to Aortic Stenosis, and myocardial protection level proportional to muscle mass will be examined, and cardioplegia efficiency will be compared.

NCT ID: NCT05592509 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Antioxidant Effect of Ozonated Vegetable Oil and Vitamins in Moderately Active Subjects

ANTIOX001
Start date: September 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this pilot study is to evaluate the antioxidant effect of a nutraceutical formulation based on vegetable oil and vitamin complex (vitamin K2 and vitamin B9) in subjects with the same level of physical activity (LAF 1.70-1.99, normally active or moderately active).

NCT ID: NCT05590312 Recruiting - Anesthesia Clinical Trials
