Effectiveness of iPRF Injections in Temporomandibular Joints Degeneration Management

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of intra-articular platelet-rich fibrin (iPRF) injections in the management of moderate and mild cases of degeneration of the temporomandibular joints. This randomized, two-arm controlled trial will involve 42 adult patients diagnosed with mild or moderate degeneration of the temporomandibular joints on the basis of clinical examination and magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography. Qualified study participants will be randomly assigned to two groups. The studied group will receive two injections of iPRF with an interval of 30 days, while the control group will receive injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) during this time. Each subject will be tested on the day of the first injection (D0), on the day of the second injection (D30), and then 60 (D60) and 12 (D120) days after the first injection using MRI/CT, Doppler Hi-dop, clinical examination and surveys.

Long-term Pain Modulation by Intravenous Esketamine in CRPS

Intravenous administration of esketamine is an effective recognized therapeutic option in refractory pain in CRPS, which sometimes in at least a part of the patients has a prolonged therapeutic effect. Unfortunately, CRPS literature contains a wide range of ketamine dosing regimens with the result that clinical protocols on dosage and administration are very heterogeneous. The current esketamine regimen in Erasmus MC consists of a 6-day hospital admission for continuous administration. In the Netherlands, both inpatient and outpatient esketamine treatments are offered. Inpatient and outpatient ketamine treatments have never been compared in randomized controlled trials and it is therefore unknown whether these two dosing regimens are equally effective. The primary objective is to demonstrate non-inferiority of experimental esketamine administration of 6x 1 day per 2 weeks (in total 3 months) as compared with standard esketamine administration of 1x 6 consecutive days. The end of study is at 6 months after the start of the study/treatment.

This is a prospective, observational study designed to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of RGX-314. Eligible participants are those who were previously enrolled in a clinical study of nAMD in which they received suprachoroidal space (SCS) administration of RGX-314. Enrollment of each participant in the current study should occur after the participant has completed either the end of study or early discontinuation visit in the previous (parent) clinical study. Participants will be followed for up to 5 years after RGX-314 administration (inclusive of the parent study). As such, the total study duration for each participant may vary depending on when they enroll in the current study following RGX-314 administration in the parent study.

Tislelizumab as Cross-line Treatment for Advanced NSCLC

This study is a single-arm, prospective, open phase II clinical study, exploring the efficacy and safety for advanced non-small cell lung cancer after progression of first-line Tislelizumab combined with chemotherapy and continuing Tislelizumab in combination with docetaxel. The primary study endpoint of this study is measured by progression-free survival (PFS). 1. Tislelizumab: The recommended dose is 200 mg/dose administered every three weeks on the first day of each cycle. 2. Docetaxel: 60-75 mg/m2 every 3 weeks, administered on day 1 of each cycle. 3. Treatment cycle: Tislelizumab in combination with docetaxel until the development of PD, unacceptable toxicities, withdrawal of informed consent, end of study, lost to follow-up, or death, whichever occurs first.

The most common two subtypes of primary aldosteronism (PA ) are aldosterone producing adenoma (APA) and bilateral idiopathic hyperaldosteronism (IHA). Mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) antagonists is the main treatment for bilateral IHA, because of its side effects, the treatment compliance of those patients is poor. Hence, an alternative therapy is needed in such cases. We hypothesized that superselective adrenal artery embolization (SAAE) could be a suitable alternative approach. To our knowledge, SAAE has so far not been applied to treat bilateral IHA. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SAAE in the treatment of PA patients with bilateral IHA.

This is a mixed-methods Hybrid Type 1 research design (efficacy study) in which we aim to conduct a two-arm randomized controlled trial and an Implementation Focused Process Evaluation of a culturally-targeted video and referral screening tool. In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate the efficacy of a culturally targeted video previously developed by the research team vs. a Spanish-language fact sheet from an established group on enhancing genetic counseling and testing uptake and psychosocial outcomes in Latina women at risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. The investigators will test the video's efficacy while also gathering data on the implementation and future sustainability of using the Risk Screening Tool (RST) and video in community clinics.
