Considering that occupational balance and bruxism are negatively affected by stress, this study aims to determine whether there is a difference in terms of occupational balance between individuals with and without bruxism.
The aim of the study is to increase health literacy, especially in menstruation self-care, and empower female RMG workers through health education by an occupational nurse, and as a consequent improve work productivity in RMG factories in Dhaka, Bangladesh
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an internet- assisted Career-Oriented Work-Related Soft-skills Training (iCareer) intervention, infused with cognitive behavioral therapy, targeting individuals ages 16-24 with mental health conditions, to improve employment outcomes. The overall objective is to help transition-age youth (TAY) with psychiatric disabilities achieve optimal employment outcomes as part of successful transition to adulthood. Findings will have implications for enhancing and developing pre-employment services for TAY with psychiatric disabilities.
This study established a sub-cohort of emergency medical workers, for the development of health care and disease prevention solution, by identifying epidemiological characteristics and factors related to occupational exposure. Each life-log or environment-log data will be collected by wearable device (e.g. smart-watch) and IoT (e.g. Edge-box). From collected data, relationship between health risks and occupational exposure of emergency medical workers will be determined.
According to the definition of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT), physiotherapists serve to restore, maintain and improve the movement and functional skills of individuals. Physiotherapists; They take a role when the movement and functions of people are endangered due to aging, injury, disease, disorder or environmental factors. As in the world, the physiotherapist profession is gradually developing and spreading in Turkey. In this sense, the number of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation faculties, departments and colleges is increasing every year. With the increasing prevalence of the profession, it has brought up the revision of training programs and questioning their success. In the literature, there are accreditation reports and guides in Australia, America and Canada regarding the education of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation science field. When we look at the literature in our country, there is no study that covers a common curriculum or training program developed for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Turkey. Therefore, it is thought that the diversity in education programs may affect the way physiotherapists, most of whom work in special education, work after graduation.
MDVP (Multidimensional Voice Program) has several parameters that can assess voice quality objectively, including Base Frequency (F0), Jitter, Shimmer, NHR (Noise to Harmonic Ratio), VTI (Voice Turbulence Index), and ATRI (Amplitude Tremor Intensity Index). MDVP may provide an objective yet non-invasive and comfortable alternative to assess voice quality - and to some extent, diagnose voice-related abnormalities. The utilization of MDVP in clinical settings is quite common but using it concerning occupational health is rare, especially in Indonesia. No study had reported usage of MDVP to assess voice quality in any occupational voice user group or reported a thorough comparison of MDVP parameters between occupational and non-occupational voice users. With an increase in the realization that voice can be an essential occupational modality, MDVP may become a practical alternative modality in assessing voice quality and occupational-related voice injury in clinical settings. This study will determine any association between occupational voice users and their MDVP parameters from medical records and the MDVP database in Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta. The study also tries to see whether there is any value in using MDVP to assess voice quality in workers.
As dental practices reopen their practices during a global pandemic, the risk of 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection that dental hygienists face in providing dental care remains unknown. Estimating the occupational risk of COVID-19, and producing evidence on the types of infection control practices and dental practices that may affect COVID-19 risk, is therefore imperative. These findings could be used to describe the prevalence and incidence of COVID-19 among dental hygienists, determine what infection control steps dental hygienists take over time, describe dental hygienists' employment during the COVID-19 pandemic, and estimate whether infection control adherence in dental practice is related to COVID-19 incidence.
A healthy dentist is one of the most important components of a successful dental practice. It is estimated that more than half of practitioners have some kind of painful work-related musculoskeletal disorders. It was reported that 80% of dental students were not aware of ergonomic posture during dental procedures. It is believed that dental students with knowledge of ergonomic principals would be able to maintain their health. Some studies demonstrated that the frequency and severity of WMSDs might decrease by training the dentists on ergonomic principles.
The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in female workers in hazelnut factory. The secondary aim is to investigate the relationship between the musculoskeletal disorders severity and working posture, work related factor, psychosocial factor.
