Design: The research was planned as a pretest, posttest, randomized controlled study in order to determine the effect of the motivational interviews on the life quality and physical activity of old patients. H1: After total knee replacement, the target for daily living activities is higher than the patients who applied the hand and those who did not. H2: Patients with targeted daily living activities with total knee replacement begin to get used to it and begin earlier than those who do not.

NCT ID: NCT05083234 Completed - Nursing Caries Clinical Trials

Maintaining Skin Integrity in Neonates With Sunflower Seed Oil and Liquid Vaseline

Neonates
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this randomized controlled study, 90 preterm and term neonates in the NICU of a state hospital were equally divided into 3 groups. The skin integrity of the newborns in all three groups was assessed in terms of the Neonatal Skin Condition Score (NSCS), which was performed a total of 9 times at 48-hour intervals. The skin of the newborns in the first group was moisturized with SSO and with LV in the second group, once a day, a total of 17 times. Moisturizer was not applied to the skin of the third group of newborns (the control group).

The Effect of Mindfulness-Based Mandala Activity on Anxiety and Spiritual Well-Being Levels of Senior Nursing Students

Start date: May 10, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This research was conducted to determine the effect of mindfulness-based mandala activity on the spiritual well-being and anxiety levels of senior nursing students in a parallel-group pretest-posttest randomized controlled study design. The required institutional permission and ethics committee approval was received. The study group of the study consisted of 170 senior nursing students (intervention group [n=84], control group [n=86]). Mindfulness-based mandala activity was applied to the intervention group via the zoom online program. Data were collected using the descriptive features form, the Spielberg Trait, and State Anxiety Inventory, the Spiritual Well-Being Scale, and the scale of the positive-negative experience. The data were stored in the SPSS 24 program.

Evaluation of the Psychoeducation Program Given to Behcet's Patients in the Context of the Roy Adaptation Model

Start date: September 15, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The physical, social and psychological effects of Behcet's disease necessitate the patient's adaptation in many areas. This study was conducted to examine the effect of psychoeducation given to Behcet's patients in the context of the Roy Adaptation Model on illness adjustment, dyadic adjustment, self-esteem, and psychiatric symptoms. The study is a control group quasi-experimental study with a pre-test, post-test and follow-up design. The study was conducted with 70 Behcet's patients including 35 interventions and 35 controls. The data of the study were collected using the "Patient Information Form", " Adaptation to Chronic Illness Scale", "Dyadic Adjustment Scale", "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale" and "Brief Symptom Inventory" in pre-test, post-test and follow-up measurements. A 7-session psychoeducation program was applied to the intervention group.

NCT ID: NCT04940728 Completed - Communication Clinical Trials

Creative Thinking Problem Solving and Communication Skills

Start date: March 10, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Creative thinking is a very important factor, especially due to recent developments in technology and health. In order to adapt and contribute to these developments, creativity is also very important for the nursing profession, which is a health discipline consisting of science and art. Creative thinking skills need to be developed so that nurses can develop healthy interpersonal relationships, find solutions to the problems they encounter in their working and social life, approach the patient with a holistic perspective, use the knowledge they have acquired in education life at an optimal level in the delivery of health services, produce new information and gain a critical perspective. In today's information age, it is very important for professional development to develop the teaching models used in nursing education based on the philosophy of lifelong learning, to be revised frequently, to control the curriculum and to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching techniques used at frequent intervals. The above-mentioned literature suggests that nurses should use creativity in their problem-solving and communication skills. In this context, it creates the need to use alternative creative thinking teaching techniques to develop nursing students' problem solving and communication skills. For this reason, the research was conducted to develop an intervention program based on creative thinking techniques in nursing education and to evaluate the effect of this program based on creative thinking techniques on problem solving and communication skills in nursing students. If a meaningful relationship is found between these variables and creative thinking education as a result of the research, the education program prepared on the subject will constitute a guide for the nursing curriculum in gaining creative thinking, problem solving and communication skills in nursing students.

NCT ID: NCT04931589 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

A Multicentre Study of Intraoperative Body Temperature Changes in Patients Undergoing Thoracoscopic Radical Surgery for Lung Cancer

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this study, the "Curve of Intraoperative Body Temperature Change in Patients with VATS Surgery" was taken as the main research content to retrospectively analyze the intraoperative body temperature and its change rules of patients who met the research conditions, and draw a trend curve, namely, the curve of body temperature change.Taking "time" as the independent variable and "body temperature" as the dependent variable, the correlation between the two was statistically analyzed.Through the development of the body temperature change curve, we can further understand the phenomenon that the body temperature of patients undergoing VATS surgery changes with the progress of surgery, and longitudinal understand the change trend and the general rule of the body temperature change. The results can provide a basis for clinical development of scientific preoperative evaluation plan, hypothermia prevention strategy and intraoperative intervention plan.

NCT ID: NCT04925635 Completed - Nursing Caries Clinical Trials

Fistula Care and Mobile Health Applications in Hemodialysis Patients

Start date: June 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In recent years, applications designed specifically to encourage physical activity in the field of mobile technology have gained momentum. As a result of the literature research, no examples of mobile health applications developed with educational content on fistula care, which hemodialysis-dependent patients can reach at any time and place, have not been found. Based on this, it was planned to increase the knowledge level of arteriovenous fistula care and examine their self-care behaviors and their adaptation to the disease with the mobile application developed with a focus on education on fistula care, which can be used independently by machine-dependent hemodialysis patients. In this context, it is aimed that dialysis patients will benefit especially in arteriovenous fistula care applications, thanks to the ever-increasing mobile applications in daily use with the developing technology. It is thought that the use of these technology-based trainings will be more comfortable, useful and encouraging for their own self-care. It is planned to be a guide for healthcare professionals.
