NCT ID: NCT04894981 Completed - Brain Injuries Clinical Trials

Comparison of Power Wheelchair Driving Performance Under Immersive and Non-immersive Conditions With Drivers With Neurological Disorders

SIMADAPT2
Start date: May 10, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to assess the impact of the choice of visual feedback solution (immersive via CAVE and VR headset; non-immersive via screen only) on driving performance and quality of experience on a physical driving simulator and its acceptability to wheelchair drivers with neurological disorders.

NCT ID: NCT04891211 Completed - Clinical trials for Vitamin D Deficiency

Retinal Changes in Vitamin D Deficiency

VDD
Start date: February 12, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Retinal tissue parameters of pediatric patients with vitamin D deficiency will be evaluated in this prospective case-control study. The patients will be divided into 2 groups according to the vitamin D level. Retinal vessel diameters, retinal nerve fiber evaluation, choroidal thickness will be evaluated. Choroidal thinning decrease in retinal artery diameter and increase in retinal vein diameter will be detected in the vitamin D deficiency group.

NCT ID: NCT04884386 Completed - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

Effects of WALKBOT-G Robot-assisted Gait Training on Anticipatory Posture Adjustment Function and Balance With Cerebral Palsy

Start date: June 12, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In children with cerebral palsy, the quality of walking decreases due to a decrease in the ability to control limbs, including walking, and coordination among various activities of daily living due to a decrease in functional independence and quality of life. Gait disorder is one of the important therapeutic goals of children with cerebral palsy, and recently robot-assisted gait training (RAGT) induces changes in brain plasticity, so it will help improve gross motor control and coordination control.

NCT ID: NCT04880356 Recruiting - Metabolic Disease Clinical Trials

Longitudinal Study of Ultra-rare Inherited Metabolic and Degenerative Neurological Diseases.

Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

General aim of the study is the improvement of the clinical knowledge of ultra-rare inherited metabolic and degenerative neurological diseases (prevalence less than 5:100,000) in adulthood through the systematic longitudinal collection of clinical, laboratory and instrumental data.

NCT ID: NCT04874051 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Sensor-based Assessment and Rehabilitation of Balance in Neurological Diseases

BALANCE
Start date: September 2, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Balance impairment is one of the most common disorders due to a neurological diseases. Sensor-based technologies may be useful for falls prevention and balance recovery during patients hospitalization. OAK Elderly Care System (Khymeia Group, Noventa Padovana, Italy) allows the assessment of fall risk, the centre of pressure and the execution of balance exercises in a virtual environment.

NCT ID: NCT04871464 Recruiting - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

Role and Mechanism of Probiotics in Improving Motor Symptoms in Mild to Moderate Parkinson's Disease

Start date: November 11, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study is a multicenter randomized double-blind placebo-controlled study. The research content is 1. The improvement effect of Bifidobacterium triple viable capsules(BIFICO) on motor symptoms and constipation and sleep in mild to moderate Parkinson's disease and the safety of the study; 2. the mechanism of the improvement effect of intestinal microecological changes on motor and constipation symptoms in mild to moderate Parkinson's disease.

NCT ID: NCT04870866 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Ataxia Telangiectasia

NAD Supplementation to Prevent Progressive Neurological Disease in Ataxia Telangiectasia

Start date: June 5, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study investigates the effect of dietary supplementation of nicotinamide ribonucleoside (NR) in children with ataxia telangiectasia (AT), with main focus on neurological symptoms.

NCT ID: NCT04866251 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Neurological Diseases or Conditions

Prevalence of Gag Reflex in Healthy Persons and Across Different Patient Groups and Its Relevance in Dysphagia Screening

Start date: August 10, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to assess the prevalence of gag reflex in healthy young and healthy older subjects as well as in acute stroke patients, in patients with Parkinsons´s Disease, Myasthenia gravis, Multiple Sclerosis and in geriatric patients.

NCT ID: NCT04855825 Recruiting - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Investigating the Effects of Wearable Robotic Exoskeleton for Improving Mobility and Cognition in Persons With MS

Start date: October 5, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the usefulness of a wearable robotic exoskeleton device (Ekso-GT), to improve learning and memory, and gait therapy in persons with walking disability due to Multiple Sclerosis. The study will evaluate the mobility, learning and memory, and walking abilities of individuals with multiple sclerosis who went through the traditional as compared to others who used the robotic exoskeleton as part of their therapy.

NCT ID: NCT04850690 Completed - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

Cognitive and Motor Tasks in Cerebral Palsy

Start date: November 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Various gait deviations are observed in children with cerebral palsy. Our aim was to determine the effect of cognitive task (CT) and motor task (MT) on gait in children with cerebral palsy (CP). 15 children with CP, between 9-15 years old, with Communication Function Classification System (CFSS) level I, with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) and Manual Ability Classification System (MACS) level I-II were included in the study. The gait with four different conditions (single gait, CT, MT and CT&MT) was evaluated by Kinovea video analysis method on a 10-meter course. Results:
