NCT ID: NCT03388619 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Highly Conformal, Hypofractionated, Focally Dose Escalated Post-Prostatectomy Radiotherapy

Start date: January 17, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Background: Sometimes prostate cancer comes back after a person's prostate is removed. In this case, radiation is a common treatment. Radiation kills prostate cancer cells. It can be very effective. It is usually given in short doses almost every day for 6 or 7 weeks. Researchers want to see if a shorter schedule can be as effective. They want to see if that causes the same or fewer side effects. Usually, radiation is used to treat the entire area where the prostate was before surgery. In some patients, an area of tumor can be seen on scans. Researchers are also trying to see if they can give less dose to the area usually treated with radiation if the full dose is given to the tumor seen on scans. Objective: To find the shortest radiation schedule that people can tolerate without strong side effects. Eligibility: People at least 18 years old who have had a prostatectomy and will get radiation. Design: Participants will be screened with: - Medical history - Physical exam - Blood and urine tests - Scan that uses a small amount of radiation to make a picture of the body - Scan that uses a magnetic field to make an image of the body - Participants will provide documents that confirm their diagnosis. - Participants may have a scan of the abdomen and pelvis. Before they start treatment, participants will have another physical exam and blood tests. Participants will get radiation each day Monday through Friday. Treatment may last 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Participants may provide a tissue sample from a previous procedure for research. Participants will answer questions about their general well-being and function. About 4-5 weeks after they finish radiation treatment, participants will have a follow-up visit. They will be examined and give a blood sample. They will have 6 follow-up visits for the next 2 years.

NCT ID: NCT03379428 Active, not recruiting - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Trial of Ibrutinib Plus Trastuzumab in HER2-amplified Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: November 29, 2017
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase I/II, open-label dose-escalation study designed to evaluate the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and dose-limiting side effects of ibrutinib (560 or 840 or 420 mg daily oral dose), given in combination with trastuzumab administered through the vein, in patients with HER2-amplified Metastatic Breast Cancer that has gotten worse after prior therapy with ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1).

NCT ID: NCT03375320 Active, not recruiting - Carcinoid Tumor Clinical Trials

Testing Cabozantinib in Patients With Advanced Pancreatic Neuroendocrine and Carcinoid Tumors

Start date: October 26, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial studies cabozantinib to see how well it works compared with placebo in treating patients with neuroendocrine or carcinoid tumors that may have spread from where it first started to nearby tissue, lymph nodes, or distant parts of the body (advanced). Cabozantinib is a chemotherapy drug known as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and it targets specific tyrosine kinase receptors, that when blocked, may slow tumor growth.

NCT ID: NCT03371693 Active, not recruiting - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Cytoreductive Surgery(CRS) Plus Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy(HIPEC) With Lobaplatin in Advanced and Recurrent Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

HIPECOV
Start date: September 30, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A phase III prospective study with the primary objective to compare the efficacy and safety of HIPEC( Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy). The target population for this study is patients with primary or recurrence ovarian, peritoneal or fallopian tube cancers undergoing CRS( Cytoreductive Surgery). Patients will be divided into two groups. Group A will undergo CRS plus HIPEC and then go on to receive standard platinum-based combination doublet intravenous chemotherapy. Group B will undergo CRS and then go on to intravenous chemotherapy.

Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies how well dexamethasone works in controlling dyspnea in patients with cancer. Dexamethasone may help control dyspnea (shortness of breath) and improve lung function and quality of life in cancer patients.

NCT ID: NCT03364400 Active, not recruiting - Solid Tumor Clinical Trials

Phase 1 Study Evaluating VT1021 in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: November 28, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is an an open-label Phase I trial of VT1021 in patients with advanced solid tumors. Patients must have recurrent or advanced cancer (i.e., solid tumors) for which standard therapy offers no curative potential.

NCT ID: NCT03361436 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Malignant Solid Neoplasm

Eribulin and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma That Can Be Removed by Surgery

Start date: March 19, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase Ib trials studies the side effects and best dose of eribulin mesylate when given together with radiation therapy in treating patients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma that can be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as eribulin mesylate, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.

NCT ID: NCT03355066 Active, not recruiting - Solid Tumor, Adult Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating the Safety and Pharmacokinetics of Orally Administered SM08502 in Subjects With Advanced Solid Tumors

Start date: November 6, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is an open-label, multi-center, dose-escalation, dose-finding and expansion study in adult subjects with advanced solid tumors for whom no standard therapy is available. The study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, PK, PD, and preliminary anti-tumor efficacy of SM08502 administered orally, once daily, following a 28-day treatment cycle (Part 1A). Alternative dosing schedules will be explored in Part 1B and the recommended Part 2 dose and schedule will be further evaluated in Part 2. Subjects will participate in a screening period of up to 14 days. Dosing in 28-day cycles will continue within each subject, unless treatment is discontinued due to toxicity, disease progression, initiation of a new anti-neoplastic therapy, withdrawal of consent, the Sponsor terminates the study, or the subject no longer meets retreatment criteria. Approximately 10 subjects enrolled in Part 2, irrespective of the tumor type, will be included in a food effect substudy to assess the preliminary effect of a high-fat, high-calorie meal on the PK of SM08502. Subjects participating in the food effect substudy will continue on study and complete assessments as per the Part 2 schedule and receive SM08502 at the recommended Part 2 dose (or another previously assessed dose level and schedule).
