Near-infrared Imaging With Indocyanine Green for Detection of Peritoneal Metastases for Gastric Adenocarcinoma.

Peritoneal disease at initial presentation for patients with gastric adenocarcinoma (GA) is frequent, with 15-31% of patients presenting with peritoneal metastases (PM) at surgical exploration. The prognosis of patients with PM is poor, overall survival (OS) ranging from 8 to 13 months, reinforcing the importance of optimal patient selection before surgical management of GA. Indocyanine Green (ICG) fluorescence imaging for intraoperative detection of PM has been described in recent literature as a useful tool in patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal malignancies to increase the detection of PM during surgery. However, the role of ICG for patients with GA, and its role during diagnosic laparoscopy (DL), remain unknown.

A Therapy Treatment Response Trial in Patients With Leptomeningeal Metastases ((LM) Using CNSide

The FORESEE Study is a multi-center, prospective clinical trial enrolling patients with Breast or Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) who have suspicious or confirmed Leptomeningeal Metastases (LM). Standard of Care methods to diagnose, or assess the treatment response of LM (Clinical Evaluation, MRI and Cytology) have limited sensitivity and specificity. This creates challenges for physicians to manage LM or determine the best course of treatment. CNSide, is a Laboratory Developed Test (LDT ) that is used commercially at the Physician's discretion in Biocept's CLIA certified, CAP accredited laboratory. CNSide can detect and quantify tumor cells in the CSF from patients with Breast Cancer or NSCLC having a suspicious or confirmed LM. The goal of the FORESEE Study is to evaluate the performance of CNSide in monitoring the LM's response to treatment and to assess the impact of CNSide on treatment decisions made by Physicians.

Patients with confirmed secondary sclerosing cholangitis (SSC-CIP) will be randomized either in the intervention group undergoing scheduled invasive evaluation of the biliary tract or in the control group treated with non-interventional standard of care to demonstrate that programmed endoscopic therapy compared to a conservative strategy reduces the occurrence of treatment failures.

Mirtazapine in Cancer-related Poly-symptomatology

Multicenter, prospective, randomized, controlled trial based on a mixed-method methodology using parallel groups, of oral mirtazapine (intervention) compared with oral escitalopram (control), with a 56 days follow-up. Improvement of the Global health Status (issued from the EORTC-QLQ-C30 (Quality of Life Questionnaire)) will be used as the primary outcome on day 56. Semi-structures interviews will be performed on a purposive sample for qualitative analysis. The 418 participants will be followed-up at day 7, 14, 28 and 56 for a 56 days period. A sub-group of participants will be invited to take part into qualitative interviews at baseline and day 56. Recruitment of participants to the qualitative part will be based on a purposive sampling.
