Filter by:This study will focus on the relationship between pillow and mattress factors, musculoskeletal disorders and sleep quality in office workers. Sleep is vital to physical and mental health, and poor sleep can negatively affect cognitive function and workplace performance. Office workers, who often work in sedentary jobs, are particularly prone to sleep disorders. Recognizing the factors that contribute to poor sleep in this population is crucial for developing interventions to improve sleep quality. The study used a cross-sectional design and will collect data from an appropriate sample of office workers (Approximately 600 participants). Various variables will be assessed, including sociodemographic characteristics, sleep-related factors (to be measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index), pillow characteristics, mattress-related factors, musculoskeletal symptoms, and physical activity levels (to be measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire). Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis will be performed to analyze the data and identify factors affecting sleep quality. Fixed fixes for potential confounders and modifiers. The study aims to identify specific components of the sleep environment related to sleep disorders. The findings of this study will contribute to the understanding of how pillow and mattress factors, along with other variables, affect sleep quality in office workers. The results may provide information for interventions aimed at improving sleep habits, optimizing the sleep environment, and improving overall well-being in this population. As a result, promoting good sleep health among office workers can have positive effects on productivity, safety and overall quality of life.
The goal of this randomized control trial is to learn if physical therapy coaching and education improves work-related muscle pain in surgeons more than education alone. The main focuses of this study are to: 1. To evaluate pain in surgeons before and after surgical cases. 2. To evaluate work-load related stress in surgeons after surgical cases. 3. To evaluate surgeons' quality of life. 4. To evaluate surgeons' grip strength. Participants will be put into two groups at random. One group will watch an educational video only. The other group will watch an educational video and get a coaching session from a physical therapist.
Lack of adherence is one of the main problems of chronic musculoskeletal pain treatment. To improve adherence it is essential to take into account the characteristics of the patients and their thoughts and beliefs about pain. Virtual reality can present some advantages in the face of these problems too. The objective of this study is to evaluate the profile of chronic musculoskeletal pain patients, the barriers associated with lack of adherence to treatment, and the interest of virtual reality in rehabilitation.
Our proposal objective is to evaluate if state-regulated topical CBD-based products relieve chronic musculoskeletal pain and/or absorb into the bloodstream.

The aim of this study, originally named "Cross-Cultural Adaptation and Validation of the Musculoskeletal Pain Intensity and Interference Questionnaire for Musicians of the Polish Population (MPIIQM-P)" is the enlargement of validation of the Polish questionnaire.
Justification: among the sequelae of Covid-19 in clinical practice we frequently find persistent neuromusculoskeletal pain. Prevalence data and the underlying mechanisms of such pain are very limited in the scientific literature. Therefore, with this research we will try to answer these questions. Main objective: to determine and characterize persistent musculoskeletal pain in Covid-19 patients. Method: two phases. First, a descriptive cross-sectional study will be carried out to estimate the prevalence of Long Covid Pain (LCP). Second phase, a case-control study will be carried out using the sample obtained in the first phase as the population. The sample will be divided into two groups: post-Covid-19 patients with LCP and post-Covid-19 patients without persistent pain (control group). The two groups will be matched according to sex, age and level of severity of the pathology. An assessment and comparison between groups will be made of the following variables: central sensitization, healthy physical condition and blood test values, which will be evaluated by means of physical examination, questionnaires and laboratory tests. Applicability of the results: this is a pioneering project at the national level, which would determine more reliably the prevalence of LCP in postcovid and could be a first step in the search for the best therapeutic strategies for these patients. This would help to improve the quality of life of these patients and to better manage the social and healthcare resources used in their treatment.
This study will use multiple methods to assess the feasibility of conducting a fully powered multisite clinical trial to test the effectiveness of integrating mindfulness-based interventions into physical therapy for patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain and long-term opioid treatment. First, researchers will develop a manual for training physical therapists to provide mindfulness-based interventions to patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain and long-term opioid treatment. Next, the researchers will evaluate the competency of physical therapists to provided mindfulness-based interventions after being randomized to one of 3 different mindfulness training arms. Patients scheduled for physical therapy with the randomized physical therapists will be invited to enroll in the study. These patients will be asked to complete a variety of patient reported outcomes including self-reported average pain and the the amount of prescription opioid pain medication taken.
The goal of this observational study has the purpose of collecting biological samples from obese patients undergoing evaluation for weight loss by means of medical or endoscopic therapies; and of post bariatric surgery patients presenting with short- and long-term surgical complications. The aim is to enhance the overall understanding of the mechanisms leading to obesity, weight loss, failure to lose weight, and weight regain following treatment. Additional goals are to determine the efficacy of endoscopic and surgical procedures, to identify potential therapeutic targets and disease biomarkers that predict response to therapy.

The Optimal Sreening for Prediction of Referral and Outcome (OSPRO) cohort studies were designed to develop and validate standard assessment tools for Review Of Systems (OSPRO-ROS) and Yellow Flags (OSPRO-YF).
