This study aimed at determining the short- (16 weeks) and long-term (36 weeks) health and physical fitness effects and adherence of recreational team handball training for postmenopausal women without previous experience with the sport. The investigators hypothesized that short-term recreational team handball training would result in positive health and physical fitness adaptations and that the health and physical fitness improvements achieved after the first 16 weeks would be maintained or further improved at the long-term. Moreover, the investigators also hypothesized that the adherence to this exercise mode would be maintained throughout the 36 weeks (long-term) compared to the first 16 weeks (short-term).
The overall objective of this project is to bring forth evidence that L-Citrulline (L-CIT) supplementation and low intensity resistance exercise training (LIRET) alone and combined will improve vascular function and muscle fitness (mass, strength, and exercise performance) in postmenopausal women with hypertension. The investigators' central hypothesis is that adjuvant L-CIT supplementation may synergistically enhance vascular (arterial stiffness, BP, muscle oxygenation, blood flow) and muscular (strength, exercise performance) responses to LIRET in postmenopausal women with hypertension by improving endothelial vasodilatory function.
This study is an online survey of women in and around menopause with moderate to severe hot flashes. Menopause, a normal part of life, is a time after a woman's last period. Hot flashes often occur during menopause. They can disrupt a woman's daily life. This study is about collecting information only. There will be no treatment in this study. This study will provide information about how many women have moderate to severe hot flashes in menopause. It will also provide details on women's experiences with hot flashes. Women from Brazil, Canada, Nordic Europe, and Mexico will take part in this study. The women in this study will already be taking part in consumer panels. Women will be contacted based on their age. They will be asked if they would like to take part in this study. Firstly, the women will answer questions about whether they are in menopause or are getting close to menopause. They will also be asked how severe their hot flashes are. From their answers, some women will be asked to complete an online survey. These will be women who are in menopause and have moderate to severe hot flashes. They will provide more details about how hot flashes have impacted their lives. Also, they will answer questions on how hot flashes affect their quality of life. Finally, they will answer questions about their experiences when they visited their doctor about their hot flashes.

To evaluate Brazilian gynecologists, through structured online questionnaires, with questions directed to their opinions and prescriptive habits about menopause hormone therapy. Research participants will complete the questionnaires in digital format online.
Vulvovaginal atrophy is common after menopause, with a significant negative effect on quality of life. Large cohort studies have reported the prevalence of vaginal dryness to be between 27% and 55% and dyspareunia between 32% and 41%. Management of urogenital atrophy includes lifestyle modification, nonhormonal treatments (vaginal lubricants or moisturizers, laser treatments), as well as hormonal treatments. Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) has been proposed as an alternative for the treatment of genitourinary menopausal syndrome (GMS) and stress urinary incontinence. PBMT devices exert their effect via non-thermal mechanisms. PBMT stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis in the vaginal tissue, to support the urethrovaginal sphincter and urethra, and to promote vasodilation in the vaginal and urethral submucosa. The MILTA acts deeper than LEDs, due to the diffusion of photons in soft tissues. In this study, the study investigators aimed to evaluate the safety and performance of the MILTA™ GYNECO vaginal probe in a pilot study of first use in women. This clinical study on the MILTA vaginal probe is expected to result in its CE marking Class IIb DM.
Cross-sectional study with postmenopausal women using hormone therapy or serotonin reuptake inhibitor to relieve climacteric symptoms or without any treatment. Participants will answer three questionnaires: FSFI (the Female Sexual Function Index), MENQOL (Menopause-specific Quality of Life) and MEEM (Mini-Mental State Examination). The results will be compared according to treatment group.
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented considerable challenges to global health services and dictates almost every aspect of medical practice and policy.
