Filter by:The Individual Knowledge Statement Questionnaire of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Patient and Resident Proxies questionnaire, which can be used in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and their relatives, will be adapted into Turkish and its psychometric properties will be examined, and the knowledge level of patients and their relatives about the disease and general health will be investigated.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus, which has developed the global pandemic situation. The promotion of vaccination is an effective strategy to control the epidemic. A total of 19,5738,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been reported in China until August 24th, 2021. During widespread vaccination, the education in COVID-19 prevention and vaccination for residents are also crucial. To figure out the influence of education during waiting time of vaccination, we have designed a randomized controlled trial and planned to distribute leaflets and questionnaires to the residents of Xidian (a town in Ninghai, Zhejiang). This study is of great significance for the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of a brief web-based educational intervention on improving Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury prevention comprehension and implementation feasibility among coaches of athletes participating in landing and cutting sports (e.g., soccer, basketball, football, etc.). The two main hypotheses are that, compared to both an active and placebo control group, the brief animated video will produce greater improvements in: 1. Overall comprehension of ACL injury risk and mitigation: placebo control group < active control group < intervention group. 2. Feasibility of utilizing ACL injury prevention strategies: placebo control group < active control group < intervention group. Exploratory hypothesis: The brief animated video will produce greater improvements in various subcomponents of comprehension-specifically: basic ACL knowledge, risk knowledge, prevention knowledge and severity knowledge compared to both active and placebo control group conditions.
Over 2.6 million children aged 0-15 years are living with HIV globally, with the majority living in low and middle income countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Addressing stigma associated with HIV is key given the significant harm that may be experienced in the form of negative health and social outcomes, reduced access to HIV prevention services, and increased vulnerability to infection. This stepped-wedge, cluster randomized trial with assess the impact of an arts-based HIV stigma intervention on knowledge and attitudes towards children who are HIV+ and - affected; enacted, internalized, anticipated, courtesy, and perceived stigma (primary outcomes); HIV testing frequency among sexually active participants; linkage to care, antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation and adherence among HIV+ participants; and viral suppression among HIV+ participants (secondary outcomes) of children aged 10+ years in Omoro District, Uganda, post-intervention and 5-months post-intervention.
In Latin America, inadequate treatment adherence and compliance in IBD patients is around 64% in Brazilians, 54.4% in Mexicans and 50.3% in Argentinians. In industrialised countries, it has been described that in IBD patients, features as younger age, low disease-related knowledge or low treatment adherence and compliance are negatively associated with health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The following research pursues to better understand potential factors related to IBD patients' treatment adherence and compliance as well as patients' IBD-related knowledge level in a Latin American population, and their preferences and barriers when interacting with ICTs for clinical purposes; to develop and to validate an IBD MAHS for Spanish-Speaking patients with Crohn's and ulcerative colitis.
The primary objective of this study is to tailor and test implementation strategies to support the adoption of two upper extremity motor outcome measures for stroke: the Fugl-Meyer Assessment and the Action Research Arm Test. The study's interdisciplinary team will address this objective through the following specific aims: (a) Tailor a package of implementation strategies (referred to as I-STROM-Implementation STRategies for Outcome Measurement) to promote outcome measure use across the care continuum, (b) Determine the effectiveness of I-STROM on outcome measure adoption and (c) Evaluate the appropriateness, acceptability, and feasibility of I-STROM in rehabilitation settings across the country. The mixed-methods study design is informed by implementation science methodologies, and the tailoring of I-STROM will be guided by input from stakeholders, including occupational therapy practitioners and administrators. The investigators will collect robust quantitative and qualitative data by means of retrospective chart reviews, electronic surveys, and stakeholder focus groups. This study, "Strategies to Promote the Implementation of Outcome Measures in Stroke Rehabilitation," will address core barriers to outcome measure use through a package of implementation strategies, thus laying the groundwork for I-STROM scale-up in health systems nationwide.
This experimental study investigated the feasibility of a sleep care positioning training protocol by comparing two educational interventions using a randomized control design. The overarching Population Intervention Comparison Outcomes (PICO) question was: Is the training protocol feasible for use in training caregivers? Question one includes the following sub questions: A. Is there a difference in perceived competence to implement aspects of nighttime postural care intervention or observed ability to position the person in a sleep system between caregivers receiving one training program versus another? B. Does the training protocol prepare caregivers to implement nighttime postural care (NTPC).
This study aims to evaluate the level of knowledge and attitude of the operating room nurses about radiation exposure.This descriptive study was conducted with 100 nurses working in the operating room of two university hospitals in Istanbul. Descriptive statistical analyses were performed using IBM SPSS 23 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences for Windows, Version 23.00, Armork NY).
The incidence of crush is one of the important indicators of the quality of health care in various medical institutions in the world. The Taiwan Hospital Evaluation and Medical Quality Council (referred to as the Medical Policy Council) listed crush as a quality indicator of clinical care in 2011 (Taiwan Clinical Effectiveness indicator system, 2011), the incidence of crush is also a sensitive indicator of nursing care. The purpose of this study: based on the nursing of crushed wounds, intervene in education and training courses, and add elements of flipped learning, to evaluate the effectiveness of KAP (knowledge, attitude, practice) and self efficacy of nursing staff for learning crushed nursing.
The goal of the study is to assess the feasibility and acceptability of the optimized MeSSSSage intervention which was developed and revised based on the results of our initial pilot testing. The investigators will conduct a controlled 4-arm factorial design randomized study to test the feasibility, acceptability and preliminary effectiveness of several intervention modalities over a 6-month period.
