NCT ID: NCT03915782 Recruiting - Stroke, Ischemic Clinical Trials

Neuroprotective Effect of Remote Ischemic Conditioning in Ischemic Stroke Treated With Mechanical Thrombectomy

PROTECT I
Start date: March 20, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The benefit of mechanical thrombectomy in the treatment of ischemic stroke has been demonstrated in several multicenter randomized trials. However, it leads to a sudden reperfusion of the brain parenchyma associated to an extension of the infarct volume. Evidence has indicated that remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) reduces final infarct size in animal stroke models. The main objective of the present study is to determine whether remote ischemic conditioning can limit the final infarct volume after recanalization of the occluded cerebral artery.

NCT ID: NCT03915431 Recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

A Study of NCS-01 in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke

Start date: February 27, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an initial Phase1/2 dose-finding, randomized, multi-center study to evaluate the safety and tolerability of NCS-01 in patients with acute ischemic stroke. All patients will be randomized within 48 hours of stroke onset. This study will be conducted in 2 stages.

NCT ID: NCT03909581 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

EndoACAB vs PCI for LAD Revascularization

ENPIL?
Start date: February 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine which treatment option is better for patients who have isolated coronary artery disease (blockages of one vessel supplying blood to the heart muscle). The treatment options compared in this study are: 1. Endoscopic coronary arterial bypass 2. Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. This study is aimed to determine the best treatment for patients with coronary artery disease.

NCT ID: NCT03907904 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Brain Hypoxia Ischemia

Continuous, Non-invasive Monitoring of Intraoperative Cerebral Perfusion and Oxidative Metabolism (CPOM)

Start date: July 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study uses a CPOM Optical neuromonitor to assess the relationship between brain cytochrome C oxidase, cerebral oxygen saturation and blood pressure during surgery performed under general anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT03900390 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Ischemic Preconditioning

The Study of Potency of Cross-preconditioning to Prevent Ischemic-reperfusion Injury for Heart Transplantation Recipient

Start date: July 7, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In recent years, a large number of studies confirmed the protective effect of ischemic preconditioning on myocardium against ischemia/reperfusion injury, but the clinical data of the effectiveness of ischemic preconditioning in heart transplantation is still missing. Inspired by the promising data of ischemic preconditioning from the previous reports, the investigators firstly introduce a novel method of cross ischemic preconditioning technique to prevent ischemia/reperfusion injury to heart transplant recipients. This study will evaluate whether this cross-preconditioning technique would attenuate ischemia/ reperfusion injury to the heart transplant recipients, reduce Intensive Care Unit(ICU) and total hospitalization stays and the incidence of cardiovascular adverse events and improve the long-term survival outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT03900065 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Complication of Surgical Procedure

Flap Preconditioning by Intermittent Negative Pressure

Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A randomized controlled trial to investigate the effect of negative pressure preconditioning of flaps on surgical outcome and microcirculation of the tissue.

NCT ID: NCT03897478 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Biomarkers of Acute Stroke in Clinic

BASIC
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The proposed study will investigate the clinical use of the ISCDX test that may differentiate between diverse stroke etiologies as listed below: Aim 1: Differentiate between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic ischemic strokes, when hemorrhagic stroke is ruled out, as defined by TOAST classification of subtypes of acute ischemic stroke. Aim 2: In cases of ischemic strokes of unknown or "cryptogenic" etiology, determine the ability of biomarker blood tests to predict etiology between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic.

NCT ID: NCT03876223 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction

Women's Ischemia Syndrome Evaluation (WISE) Pre-HFpEF

Start date: July 24, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to examine small vessel disease (a condition in which the small arteries in the heart become narrowed). The investigators want to know how the small vessel disease contributes to pre-HFpEF (a condition with inadequate heart muscle function in the setting of preserved muscle pumping) and to better identify potential treatment for prevention of HFpEF. The main procedures of this study include up to 2 clinic visits (initial visit and a second clinical visit only if participants are unable to complete all research procedures at the initial visit); a 6-week phone interview visit, 4 quarterly follow-up phone interview visits in year 1; year 1 follow up cardiac MRI based on availability and ongoing annual follow-up phone interview visits to track progress. If participants choose to take part in this study, participants direct participation will end after 1 year, participants will then have the option of participating in ongoing annual check-in calls. Participants will be asked to undergo a physical exam and provide a completed medical history; complete a Cardiovascular (or Cardiac) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMRI) with contrast agent; complete questionnaires to describe heart symptoms and overall quality of life status; undergo blood draws to provide blood samples for research testing, and allow the study team to have access to medical records.

NCT ID: NCT03870854 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Ischemic Ventricular Tachycardia (VT)

Paced Electrogram Feature Analysis (PEFA) for Ablation Targeting in Ischaemic Ventricular Tachycardia

PEFA-VT
Start date: August 13, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Canadian multicentre prospective cohort study of 40 patients with ischaemic heart disease and therapy from an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD).

Impact of IntraVascular UltraSound Guidance on the Outcomes of Xience Prime Stents in Long Lesions (IVUS-XPL Study): Retrospective and Prospective Follow-up Study

Start date: March 15, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigator aimed to evaluate the long-term (up to 10 years) follow-up of the patients who enrolled the IVUS-XPL study (Impact of IntraVascular UltraSound Guidance on the Outcomes of Xience Prime Stents in Long Lesions), which was shown the superiority of IVUS-guided stent implantation at 1 year in terms of major adverse cardiac events.
