View clinical trials related to Infertility.
Filter by:Vitamin D receptors are present and differently expressed in murine endometrium and ovary throughout the estrous cycle , whereas knock-out experiments have shown that vitamin D receptor null mice experience uterine hypoplasia and impaired folliculogenesis. Only few retrospective studies examining the role of vitamin D levels in infertile patients have been published up to date, whereas results are strongly contradictory, with some supporting that maternal vitamin D deficiency is associated with lower pregnancy rates and others demonstrating that vitamin D deficiency does not affect final reproductive outcome. Finally, a recent retrospective study postulated that vitamin D deficiency may negatively affect pregnancy rates with an effect mediated through the endometrium, given that vitamin D deficiency was not correlated with ovarian stimulation characteristics or with markers of embryo quality in this study. In order to examine a potential negative effect of vitamin D deficiency on pregnancy rates, mediated through the endometrium, the aim of the current study was to examine the impact of vitamin D levels on pregnancy rates only in an infertile population undergoing embryo transfer of frozen-thawed embryos.
RATIONALE: Participating in a therapy program may enhance communication and intimacy between men with prostate cancer and their partners. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well therapy enhances communication and intimacy for men with early stage prostate cancer and for their partners.
After hCG trigger a large amount of exogenous progesterone is used for luteal phase support in many countries until 10th week of gestation. Instead we suggest the use of two small doses of hCG after the trigger during the early luteal phase after GnRHa trigger, promoting the endogenous progesterone production from the corpora lutea (CL).
The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of Comprehensive Chromosome Screening(CCS) on patients with low ovarian reserve in an effort to improve success during in vitro fertilization and decrease the time to successful pregnancy.
Multidisciplinary, multicentric, cross-sectional study on men in infertile couples who conduct their sperm test through their diagnosis of infertility
The purpose of this prospective, randomized study, was to determine if neck and shoulder massage performed within 15 minutes of semen sample collection will increase the semen volume, and therefore increase the total motile sperm available for insemination as a result of decreased stress.
The purpose of this study is to determine patient satisfaction and tolerability of the Evie® slow-release insemination device for US population. Additionally, to assess cramping with the device and to determine pregnancy rates using the slow insemination device compared to standard IUI.
The purpose of the non-inferiority study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and the safety of two different subcutaneous FSH preparations (Fostimon versus Gonal-F) for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in a GnRH-antagonist cycle.
The purpose of this study is to determine if sexual intercourse lowers serum progesterone in women using vaginal progesterone gel (Crinone®), and increases serum progesterone in their male sexual partners. We hypothesize, based on previous estrogen studies done by our group, that intercourse will interfere with absorption of vaginal progesterone.
This trial investigates the immunogenicity of FE 999049 in repeated cycles.
