NCT ID: NCT05977946 Recruiting - Hemostasis Clinical Trials

Delivering Transcutaneous Auricular Neurostimulation to Regulate Platelet Activity in Healthy Human Subjects

Start date: October 31, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is designed as a randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled, single-center research study in which healthy adults will be randomized 1:1 into one of two experimental groups, to receive transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) targeting either the auricular branch of the vagus nerve (ABVN) or tAN, which targets the ABVN and the auriculotemporal nerve (ATN): 1. Group 1: Sham taVNS followed by active taVNS 2. Group 2: Sham tAN followed by active tAN Participants will receive 30 minutes of sham stimulation (taVNS or tAN), followed by active stimulation (taVNS or tAN). Blood biomarkers (local and systemic) will be measured before and at several timepoints after stimulation to measure the molecular and cellular effects of the device.

NCT ID: NCT05875272 Recruiting - Hemostasis Clinical Trials

Interchangeability of Arterial Coagulation and Venous Coagulation, in the Context of Cardiac Surgeries Under Cardiopulmonary Bypass, Using the DMDiv Hemochron Signature Elite

COAGAV
Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Adequate coagulation measured using activated clotting (ACT) is important during vascular and cardiac surgeries. Unfractionated heparin is the most common anticoagulant used. For point of care testing, under supervision of biology department, the investigators use Hemochron Signature Elite®(HSE) (Werfen®-Barcelona Spain) to determine coagulation during cardiac surgery under Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB), with arterial or venous blood. The dosage of heparin varies according to this result, throughout the CPB. On the Connect Manager® software (Livanova®, Italy) which records all the data of a CPB, it is mandatory to inform, during an ACT, the sampling site in arterial or venous. The chemical compositions of arterial blood and venous blood are different (O2, Co2…) Even if the qualities of coagulation in vivo are identical, what happens when they are chemically analyzed using the medical device HSE ? Can we trust the results of this device to secure anticoagulation under CPB? Are the results affected by the sampling site? The objective of this study is to compare the reliability of hemostasis control , during cardiac surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass, for both venous and arterial blood. Effective and controllable anticoagulation is mandatory during cardiac surgeries under extracorporeal circulation. The monitoring of the effectiveness of heparin is carried out, in our center, using the Hemochron Signature Elite® (HSE) medical device, which measures the ACT (Activated Clotting Time). There is no comparative study between hemostasis of venous blood, versus arterial blood, with this point of care device.

NCT ID: NCT05822804 Not yet recruiting - Hemostasis Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of the Vascular Closure Device (Tonbridge) in Hemostasis Treatment of Femoral Artery Puncture

Start date: April 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to verify the safety and efficacy of the Vascular Closure Device (Tonbridge) in hemostasis treatment for femoral artery puncture.

NCT ID: NCT05790603 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Effect of Hemostatic Device With Quantitative Pressure on Radial Artery Hemostasis After PCI

PCI
Start date: July 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this clinical trial is to compare the hemostatic effect of 2 hemostatic devices with or without quantitative pressure on radial arteries after percutaneous coronary intervention. The main questions aims to answer: - What is the hemostatic effect of the quantitative pressure hemostatic device after percutaneous coronary intervention? - What are the precise hemostasis pressure and hemostasis time of the radial artery after percutaneous coronary intervention? Participants will be randomly assigned to the intervention group (IG) and control group (CG). The IG will use quantitative pressure patent hemostasis, which will be subdivided into three groups: low pressure group, medium pressure group and high pressure group. The CG will use the conventional radial artery hemostatic device without pressure monitoring. The primary outcomes are hemostasis success and incidence of radial artery occlusion. Secondary outcomes include time to hemostasis, rate of bleeding, hematoma, pain, hand swelling, pseudoaneurysm, antebrachial osteofascial compartment syndrome and oxygen saturation of the compressed side thumb.

NCT ID: NCT05653843 Recruiting - Endoscopy Clinical Trials

PROgnostic Value of MicroParticles and Markers of Hemostasis in TIA and Ischemic Stroke

PROMPTS
Start date: June 2007
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose is to investigate if different microparticles and markers of hemostasis predict outcome after TIA or ischemic stroke and to study the association between these variables and stroke subtype or etiology.

NCT ID: NCT05511675 Not yet recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

The Effect of Cold Application on the Hemostasis, Extremity Pain And Terumo Band Usage After Transradial Angiography

Start date: April 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

According to the World Health Organization data, approximately 17.9 million people die every year due to heart disease. 85% of these deaths are due to heart attack and blocked blood vessels. The Turkish Statistical Institute reports that circulatory system diseases took the first place among the causes of death with 38.4%, while ischemic heart diseases constituted 39.7% of these deaths in 2018. Transradial angiography is used for the purpose of scanning and treatment of coronary arteries both in Turkey and in other countries of the world. Aim: After transradial angiography, Terumo (TR) band is used as a common device which is provides pneumatical hemostasis. This study aims to reduce usage time of the TR band, a decrease of hematoma formation and a reduction in the level of extremities pain experienced as a result of transradial angiography, thanks to using the TR band together with cold application.
