NCT ID: NCT03684811 Completed - Clinical trials for Cohort 2a and 2b: Hepatobiliary Tumors (Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Bile Duct Carcinoma, Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma, Other Hepatobiliary Carcinomas)

A Study of FT-2102 in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors and Gliomas With an IDH1 Mutation

Start date: November 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 1/2 study will evaluate the safety, efficacy, PK, and PD of FT-2102 as a single agent and in combination with other anti-cancer drugs in patients with advanced solid tumors and gliomas. The study is divided into two parts: single agent FT-2102 followed by combination therapy. Part 1: A single agent, open-label study in up to five cohorts (glioma, hepatobiliary tumors, chondrosarcoma, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and other IDH1 mutant solid tumors) that will include a Phase 1 dose confirmation followed by a Phase 2 investigation of clinical activity in up to 4 cohorts. During the dose confirmation, additional doses or altered dose schedules may be explored. Part 2: An open-label study of FT-2102 in combination with other anti-cancer agents. Patients will be enrolled across 4 different disease cohorts, examining the effect of FT-2102 + azacitidine (glioma and chondrosarcoma), FT-2102 + nivolumab (hepatobiliary tumors), and FT-2102 + gemcitabine/cisplatin (intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma). There will be a safety lead-in followed by a Phase 2 evaluation in up to four cohorts of patients.

NCT ID: NCT03626896 Completed - Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Safety of BBB Disruption Using NaviFUS System in Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) Patients

Start date: August 17, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is to evaluate the safety and find the tolerated ultrasound dose of transient opening of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) by using the NaviFUS System in recurrent GBM patients.

NCT ID: NCT03621748 Completed - Intracranial Glioma Clinical Trials

Awake vs. Asleep Craniotomy for Non-eloquent Gliomas

Start date: June 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study protocol examines a comparison between local and general anesthesia (Awake vs. Asleep Craniotomy) in the removal of brain tumors that are in areas of the brain that do not directly control bodily functions (non-eloquent gliomas).

NCT ID: NCT03615404 Completed - Glioblastoma Clinical Trials

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) RNA-Pulsed Dendritic Cells for Pediatric Patients and Young Adults With WHO Grade IV Glioma, Recurrent Malignant Glioma, or Recurrent Medulloblastoma

ATTAC-P
Start date: October 5, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility and safety of administering CMV RNA-pulsed dendritic cells (DCs), also known as CMV-DCs, to children and young adults up to 35 years old with nWHO Grade IV glioma, recurrent malignant glioma, or recurrent medulloblastoma. Evidence for efficacy will also be sought. This will be a phase 1 study evaluating CMV-DC administration with tetanus toxoid (Td) preconditioning and Granulocyte Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) adjuvant in children and young adults up to 35 years old with WHO grade IV glioma, recurrent malignant glioma, or recurrent medulloblastoma. This safety study will enroll a maximum of 10 patients.

NCT ID: NCT03566199 Completed - Clinical trials for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma

MTX110 by Convection-Enhanced Delivery in Treating Participants With Newly-Diagnosed Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma

PNOC015
Start date: May 22, 2018
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects of panobinostat nanoparticle formulation MTX110 (MTX110) in treating participants with newly-diagnosed diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma. Panobinostat nanoparticle formulation MTX110 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

NCT ID: NCT03561870 Completed - Recurrent IDH Clinical Trials

Olaparib in Recurrent IDH-mutant Glioma

OLAGLI
Start date: March 20, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Recent data demonstrate that in IDH-mutant gliomas, 2 hydroxy-glutarate production induces a homologous recombination defect that renders tumor cells exquisitely sensitive to poly(adenosine 5'-diphosphate-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors, including olaparib (Lynparza; AstraZeneca). The aim of this open-label phase 2 study is to evaluate the efficacy of olaparib in in recurrent IDH-mutant high grade gliomas based on 6 months progression-free survival.

NCT ID: NCT03551249 Completed - Glioblastoma Clinical Trials

Assessment of Safety and Feasibility of ExAblate Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) Disruption

Start date: March 26, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of the ExAblate Model 4000 Type 2 used as a tool to disrupt the BBB (blood brain barrier) in patients with high grade glioma undergoing standard of care therapy.

NCT ID: NCT03501134 Completed - Malignant Glioma Clinical Trials

Quality of Life of Patients With Glioblastoma (GBM) Treated With Tumor-Treating Fields

ACTION
Start date: August 8, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This purpose of this study is to describe the effect of Tumor Treating Fields (NovoTTF) on quality of life (QOL), including exercise, sleep quality, and mood, in patients with World Health Organization (WHO) Grade IV malignant glioma who have been prescribed and approved to receive Optune™. This is an observational, longitudinal study, meaning that information about QOL will be collected over time while the patient is using the NovoTTF device (for example, Optune™).

NCT ID: NCT03471546 Completed - Malignant Glioma Clinical Trials

Early Palliative Care Intervention in Malignant Glioma

Start date: May 16, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research study is to determine the feasibility and acceptability of incorporating palliative care into the clinical care plans of patients newly diagnosed with malignant brain tumors. Palliative Care is a field of medicine that focuses on providing relief from symptoms and stress related to serious illnesses. This study will assess the feasibility of conducting a future study, and will gather data upon which to appropriately tailor the intervention and the future study design. The statistical analysis of this study will describe 8 components that encompass each of the 4 areas of focus or "domains": acceptability, demand, implementation, and integration.
