Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy Treated With Runcaciguat

This Phase 2 study is conducted to investigate the safety and efficacy of runcaciguat in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. To assess efficacy, the retinal morphology will be investigated by 7-field color fundus photography for central assessment of the diabetic retinopathy severity score, or DRSS. Two-step DRSS improvement at 24 weeks of treatment will be the primary efficacy endpoint. DRSS assessments are repeated after completion of 48 weeks of treatment. In addition, vision threatening complications will be recorded throughout the study and assessed as secondary efficacy endpoint.

Research Study to Compare Three Doses of Semaglutide Tablets Taken Once Daily in People With Type 2 Diabetes

This study compares three doses of once daily semaglutide tablets in people with type 2 diabetes who were previously treated with other oral anti-diabetic medicines. Participants will be initiated on the lowest starting dose of 3 mg and gradually increased until they reach the final trial dose of 14 mg, 25 mg or 50 mg once daily semaglutide tablets. The final three doses will be randomized (i.e., decided by chance). Participants will be administered one tablet per day for 68 weeks. Women cannot take part if they are pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study period. Women who can get pregnant will be checked for pregnancy via urine tests. Once daily semaglutide tablets (3 mg, 7 mg and 14 mg) are approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in the US, in the EU and in some other countries, under the brand name Rybelsus®.

This prospective, observer masked, randomised, controlled, equivalence phase 3 study will be conducted in approximately 4 European Countries. Sintetica intends to perform a phase 3 study on patients undergoing cataract surgery to assess the safety and efficacy of topical anaesthesia using chloroprocaine gel.

Background: Many people think that people with mental disorders might be dangerous or unpredictable. These patients face various sources of disadvantages and experience discrimination on job interviews, in education, and housing. Mental health-related stigma (MHS) occurs not only within the public community, it is a growing issue among professionals as well. Aim: The investigators designed a prospective, observational, multi-centre, international study of 35 European countries to investigate the MHS among medical specialists and trainees in the field of general adult and child and adolescent psychiatry. Methods: An internet-based, anonymous survey will measure the stigmatizing attitude by using the local version of the Opening Minds Stigma Scale for Health Care Providers. Presentation of the Results: The results of the research will be published in an international peer-reviewed journal. Furthermore, the research team will present the results at national and international conferences.

A 38 week dosing trial of lonapegsomatropin, a long-acting growth hormone product, administered once-a-week versus placebo-control. A daily somatropin product arm is also included to assist clinical judgement on the trial results. Approximately 240 adults (males and females) with growth hormone deficiency will be included. Randomization will occur in a 1:1:1 ratio (lonapegsomatropin : placebo : daily somatropin product). This is a global trial that will be conducted in, but not limited to, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
