Study to Compare QVM149 and Free Triple Combination of Salmeterol/Fluticasone + Tiotropium

ARGON
Start date: February 5, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this trial was to demonstrate that the efficacy of two treatment arms of the fixed-dose combination product QVM149 was non-inferior to the efficacy of the free combination arm of salmeterol/ fluticasone+ tiotropium in uncontrolled moderate to severe asthmatic patients. The planned duration of treatment in this study was 24 weeks, followed up by a 7-day follow-up period.

NCT ID: NCT03148457 Completed - Ischaemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Early Versus Late Initiation of Direct Oral Anticoagulants in Post-ischaemic Stroke Patients With Atrial fibrillatioN (ELAN): an International, Multicentre, Randomised-controlled, Two-arm, Assessor-blinded Trial

ELAN
Start date: November 6, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

When to start anticoagulation in patients with an acute ischaemic stroke and atrial fibrillation (AF) is a relevant unanswered question in clinical practice. Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are highly effective for secondary stroke prevention in these patients, but DOACs were never initiated <7 days after stroke onset in recent trials. The ELAN trial will determine the net benefit of early versus late initiation of DOACs in patients with acute ischaemic stroke related to AF. The main objective is to estimate the net benefit of early versus late initiation of DOACs in patients with acute ischaemic stroke related to AF. The secondary objectives are to assess all vascular events and all-cause mortality after early initiation of DOACs in patients with acute ischaemic stroke related to AF compared to late initiation.

NCT ID: NCT03131687 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

A Study of Tirzepatide (LY3298176) in Participants With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: May 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the study drug tirzepatide in participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

NCT ID: NCT03125902 Completed - Clinical trials for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

A Study of Atezolizumab and Paclitaxel Versus Placebo and Paclitaxel in Participants With Previously Untreated Locally Advanced or Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)

IMpassion131
Start date: August 25, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab (MPDL3280A, an anti-programmed death-ligand 1 [PD-L1] antibody) administered in combination with paclitaxel compared with placebo in combination with paclitaxel in participants with previously untreated, inoperable locally advanced or metastatic, centrally confirmed TNBC. Participants will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to receive atezolizumab or placebo plus paclitaxel until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity or end of study, whichever occurs first (maximum up to approximately 40 months). In addition, the Sponsor may decide to terminate the study at any time.

NCT ID: NCT03116347 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (PID)

Post-Authorization Safety, Tolerability and Immunogenicity Evaluation of HyQvia in Pediatric PIDD Subjects

Start date: May 30, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to acquire additional data on safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of HyQvia in pediatric (age two to <18 years) patients with Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (PIDD)

NCT ID: NCT03107793 Completed - Crohn Disease Clinical Trials

Study of Treat to Target Versus Routine Care Maintenance Strategies in Crohn's Disease Patients Treated With Ustekinumab

STARDUST
Start date: April 19, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of a treat to target strategy coupled with early endoscopic assessment versus a clinically driven (routine care) approach in achieving endoscopic response.

NCT ID: NCT03105687 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of SMS Reminders of Blood Pressure-lowering Drugs Intake

SPPA
Start date: June 16, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

By conducting the SPPA trial we try to find out, whether personalized Short Message Service (SMS) reminders of blood pressure-lowering medication can effectively increase patients' adherence to blood pressure-lowering medication. Additionally, we also evaluate their effect on patients' systolic blood pressure control.
