NCT ID: NCT03473821 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury

Motor Imagery to Facilitate Sensorimotor Relearning After ACL Injury

MOTIFS
Start date: March 25, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Anterior cruciate ligament injury is a common issue in sports involving cutting and jumping. Treatment may include surgical intervention followed by physical therapy, or no surgical intervention with the main treatment being physical therapy. Despite meeting physical therapist requirements for return to sport, many athletes do not return to sport. This discrepancy in the physical requirements for returning to physical activity and actually returning to the same physical activity level leads to the question of whether current rehabilitation treatments may be improved upon. One potential method is by integrating mental training into physical rehabilitation. By using mental training and increasing the meaning and relevance of rehabilitation, a person may be preparing more effectively for return to the pace and intensity common during physical activity. In this study, the investigators aim to create and evaluate a model of training which incorporates physical activity-related movement and mental training in order to more effectively prepare people for return to physical activity after anterior cruciate ligament injury. This will be measured by examining functional hop measures, as well as patient-reported outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT03470922 Active, not recruiting - Melanoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Relatlimab Plus Nivolumab Versus Nivolumab Alone in Participants With Advanced Melanoma

RELATIVITY-047
Start date: April 11, 2018
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether relatlimab in combination with nivolumab is more effective than nivolumab by itself in treating unresectable melanoma or melanoma that has spread.

NCT ID: NCT03462719 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Leukemia, Lymphocytic, Chronic, B-Cell

A Study of the Combination of Ibrutinib Plus Venetoclax Versus Chlorambucil Plus Obinutuzumab for the First-line Treatment of Participants With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL)

GLOW
Start date: April 17, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess progression-free survival (PFS) from treatment with ibrutinib plus venetoclax (I+VEN) compared with obinutuzumab plus chlorambucil (G-Clb) as assessed by an Independent Review Committee (IRC).

NCT ID: NCT03461835 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Pregnancy, High Risk

Management of Pregnancies of Unknown Location (PUL)

Start date: February 22, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In a randomized multicenter trial the investigators want to compare the ability of two hCG-based models in correctly classifying EPs as high risk among PULs and correctly classifying IUPs and failed PULs as low risk after two hCG measurements. After the classification of PULs into high or low risk of EP, the clinical management will be the same within each risk group (high and low) regardless of randomization group (which model classified the patients). The clinical management will be according to the management protocol published in a NICE guideline.

NCT ID: NCT03456063 Active, not recruiting - Non-Small-Cell Lung Clinical Trials

A Study of Neoadjuvant Atezolizumab Plus Chemotherapy Versus Placebo Plus Chemotherapy in Patients With Resectable Stage II, IIIA, or Select IIIB Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (IMpower030)

Start date: April 24, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, double-blinded study designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity of neoadjuvant treatment with atezolizumab (MPDL3280A) or placebo in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy in participants with resectable Stage II, IIIA, or select IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) followed by open-label adjuvant/postoperative atezolizumab or best supportive care and monitoring.

NCT ID: NCT03452111 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Clinical Trials

Study of Daily Application of Nestorone® (NES) and Testosterone (T) Combination Gel for Male Contraception

Start date: October 25, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The long term objective is to develop a gel to be used as a male contraceptive.

Effect of Smoking on Pain and Atherosclerosis in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

RAsmo
Start date: November 2011
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Primary aim: examine a possible connection between cigarette smoking, disease activity and perceived pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Secondary aim: Evaluate cardiovascular risk in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

NCT ID: NCT03439449 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Coronary Syndrome

Computerized Medical History Taking for Acute Chest Pain

CLEOS-CPDS
Start date: May 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The aim is to determine the additional value of computerized, patient-entered medical histories for the management of patients presenting at the emergency department with chest pain.

MINSS
Start date: May 15, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this multicentre, prospective, observational study is to identify robust biochemical markers that predict adverse cardiovascular outcomes and mortality in patients undergoing major abdominal surgery.

NCT ID: NCT03434314 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Aortic Aneurysm, Thoracoabdominal

Paraplegia Prevention in Aortic Aneurysm Repair by Thoracoabdominal Staging

PAPAartis
Start date: November 8, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aortic aneurysms represent the most common and dangerous aortic diseases. Although conventional aortic repair techniques cure the disease, there is a high risk of paraplegia particularly in extensive thoracoabdominal aneurysms due to impaired blood supply to the spinal cord. The PAPA-ARTiS trial will assess the clinical safety and efficacy of the MISACE (Minimally-Invasive Segmental Artery Coil-Embolization) procedure, a novel therapeutic concept to reduce the risk of paraplegia due to aneurysm repair. The study investigates the MISACE procedure as a potential pre-treatment prior to open or endovascular aneurysm repair in patients with thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms. Patients will be randomized to one of the two treatment strategies: a) aneurysm repair without MISACE pre-treatment, or b) aneurysm repair with MISACE pre-treatment.
