There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of long-term treatment with casimersen or golodirsen in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Primary Objective: To compare the effect of sotagliflozin to placebo on the total occurrences of cardiovascular (CV) death, hospitalization for heart failure (HHF), and urgent visit for heart failure (HF) in hemodynamically stable participants after admission for worsening heart failure (WHF) Secondary Objectives: To compare the effects of sotagliflozin to placebo on: - The total occurrences of HHF and urgent visit for HF - The occurrence of CV death - The occurrence of all-cause mortality - The total occurrences of CV death, HHF, urgent visit for HF, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), and non-fatal stroke - Change in Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire-12(KCCQ-12) score - Change in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)
The World Health Organization recommend all stable low birth weight neonates to have Skin-to-skin-Contact (SSC) after birth. Intermittent SSC is used in Sweden in neonatal units. Observations indicate that SSC makes neonates feel good. However, there is limited research done on SSC treatment on neonates born prior to week 33. The aim of this study is to investigate whether Skin-to-skin-Contact (SSC) leads to an improved physiological stabilization, altered epigenetic profile and improved longterm psychomotor outcome in neonates born in gestation age between week 28+0 - 32+6. This is a parallel, two-arm, multicentre, randomized controlled superiority trial. The two arms to be compared are a) immediate SSC with one parent/caregiver continous during the first 6 hours after birth and as much as possible during the first 72 hours, and b) conventional method of care during the same time.
Primary Objective: To demonstrate that efpeglenatide 4 and 6 mg was noninferior to placebo on 3-point major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) participants at high cardiovascular (CV) risk. Secondary Objectives: To demonstrate that efpeglenatide 4 and 6 mg was superior to placebo in T2DM participants with high CV risk on the following parameters: - 3-point MACE. - Expanded CV outcome. - Composite outcome of new or worsening nephropathy. To assess the safety and tolerability of efpeglenatide 4 and 6 mg, both added to standard of care in T2DM participants at high CV risk.
All patients starting an IVF-treatment at the clinics, and meeting the inclusion criteria, will be offered to participate in the study. Randomization will be performed on day 5 and the patients will be allocated into either morphology only group or time-lapse group. Embryos will be cultured to day five according to the clinics own routines. All embryos in both groups will be cultured using time-lapse incubation. In the control group the embryo selection will be based only on traditional morphological evaluation and in the treatment group a time-lapse selection model (KID Score day 5) will be used to select the embryo.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how much trabeculectomy influences intraocular pressure (IOP) fluctuations measured with iCare Home rebound tonometry (RTHome) in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) or pseudo-exfoliation glaucoma (PEX).
A Phase 3 comparison of ipilimumab with and without IMO-2125 in advanced melanoma
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of gantenerumab versus placebo in participants with early (prodromal to mild) AD. All participants must show evidence of beta-amyloid pathology. Eligible participants will be randomized 1:1 to receive either subcutaneous (SC) injection of gantenerumab or placebo. The primary efficacy assessment will be performed at the end of the double blind period at week 116. Participants will then be offered to enter into an open-label extension (OLE). Participants not willing to go to the OLE will participate in a long term follow-up period for up to 50 weeks after the last gantenerumab dose.
The study is a 2-arm, double blinded, multicenter, 2:1 randomized, placebo controlled clinical trial. Subjects will receive hydroxychloroquine or placebo and close monitoring for progression of T1D.
The principal aim of this study is to investigate the cardiac uptake of 89Zr-GSK2398852 in subjects with transthyretin cardiomyopathy amyloidosis (ATTR-CM), and its biodistribution to other organs. Low doses of GSK2398852 will be co-administered at levels not high enough for therapeutic benefit. This study will be conducted in two parts: Part A and Part B. Subjects in Part A will participate in up to two dosing sessions and subjects in Part B will participate in one dosing session. Subjects will undergo up to 3 PET scans at varying intervals after 89Zr-GSK2398852 administration. The total duration of study will be approximately 3 to 4 months for subjects in Part A and approximately 2 months for subjects in Part B. Part B of the study will be triggered based on data obtained in Part A and other emerging data.
