There are about 1560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Serbia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
A drug called AV650 (tolperisone HCl) will be given to patients who have spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis. This study has three purposes: 1. To determine whether AV650 is safe for patients with multiple sclerosis; 2. To gather some early evidence as to whether AV650 is effective in treating spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis; and, 3. To assess what the body does with AV650 once it is ingested (Germany and Czech Republic sites only).
The purpose of this study is to assess the effects (good and bad) of golimumab (CNTO 148) therapy in participants with active ulcerative colitis (UC) (sores in the colon).
Endothelin-1 is a powerful substance that may be involved in causing hemodynamic instability (problems related to unstable blood pressure) during and after open heart surgery. Tezosentan is an investigational intravenous drug that blocks the endothelin receptors. This clinical trial will assess the potential benefit of tezosentan compared with placebo in the treatment of patients undergoing open heart surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Treatment time is from the start of surgery up to 24 hours.
This study consists of a 4 week run-in period with a Ca based phosphate binder and 12 weeks treatment period by MCI-196 or placebo, (both on Ca based phosphate binder). During the treatment period, MCI-196 or placebo will be titrated every 3 weeks.
The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of Proxinium plus best supportive care with best supportive care only for patients with squamous cell head and neck cancer.
The primary objective of this study is to assess whether a single dose of rhBMP-2/CPM administered at the fracture site via percutaneous injection, in combination with standard of care, accelerates fracture union and return to normal function in subjects who have a closed diaphyseal tibial fracture when compared to standard of care alone.
The purpose of this study is to determine if the addition of motexafin gadolinium (study drug) to standard treatment with docetaxel will improve the response rate in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
Primary: To evaluate the efficacy of satavaptan in the absence of concomitant diuretic drugs in reducing the recurrence of ascites. Secondary: To evaluate the tolerability and safety of satavaptan in the absence of concomitant diuretic drugs over a 52-week treatment period in patients with cirrhosis of the liver and recurrent ascites. The one-year double blind placebo controlled period is extended up to 2 years in a long term safety study (PASCCAL-2).
Primary To evaluate the efficacy of satavaptan on top of diuretic drugs in reducing the recurrence of ascites. Secondary To evaluate the tolerability and safety of satavaptan on top of diuretic drugs over a 52-week treatment period in patients with cirrhosis of the liver and recurrent ascites. The one-year double blind placebo controlled period is extended up to 2 years in a long term safety study (PASCCAL-2).
To determine if therapy with Zometa® (zoledronic acid) 4mg will be effective in preventing the occurrence of bone metastases in prostate cancer patients at high risk of developing them. In addition, pain and analgesic scores and overall safety are to be evaluated throughout the study.
