There are about 1552 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Serbia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Brief summary The goal of this study is to compare the effects of advanced platelet rich fibrin and enamel matrix derivative placed in the extraction alveoli of patients who had surgical removal of mandibular wisdom teeth. The questions it aims to answer/evaluate are: - postoperative pain, swelling, trismus, early wound healing using soft tissue healing index - level of early local inflammatory response by measuring levels of inflammatory mediators in wound exudate - degree of wound healing by measuring levels of early wound healing mediators in wound exudate - incidence of alveolar osteitis and delayed infection - levels of probing depth, clinical attachment loss, gingival margin level, bleeding on probing, gingival index, plaque index of the second mandibular molar 3 months after surgery Participants of the study will be asked: - for their preoperative clinical measurements (swelling, trismus, periodontal parameters) to be taken by the principal investigator - to provide 20 ml of venous blood if necessary - to preoperatively provide gingival crevicular fluid in the region of distal surface of the second mandibular molar and postoperatively wound exudate - to note the number of painkiller pills taken after surgery and pain levels in different time points - to come to regular checkups in which clinical measuring of postoperative swelling, trismus levels and periodontal parameters will be performed
The study investigates the impact of consuming hydrogen-rich water over a six-week period on exercise-related biomarkers among individuals aged over 50, both men and women, who undergo a resistance training program. This research aims to discern the potential benefits of hydrogen-infused water consumption concerning exercise-related markers in an aging demographic post-resistance training.
Purpose/Objectives of the Study: Regenerative medicine, as well as aesthetic plastic surgery and dermatology field persistently seeks innovative, minimally invasive interventions to enhance skin quality and mitigate signs of aging. This study evaluates the regenerative capabilities of a new medical device focused on dermal redensification, induced by injections of single-strand alpha 1 collagen, to verify its ability, in a specific formulation (contained within a matrix of hyaluronic acid and carboxymethylcellulose), to induce dermal stimulation in both scar outcomes and regenerative medicine applied to skin aging.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of study participants with generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) to successfully self-administer rozanolixizumab after training in the self-administration technique using the syringe driver and manual push methods.
This study has 2 parts: First part is the main study and second part is the extension study. During the main study participants will receive 1 of 4 study medicines. If participants continue in the extension study, they will not receive any study medicine during the extension. The main study will look at how well CagriSema helps participants with excess body weight lose weight compared to a "dummy" medicine and 2 other medicines, cagrilintide and semaglutide. Participants will either get CagriSema, cagrilintide, semaglutide or "dummy" medicine. Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. They will take one injection once a week. The study medicine is injected briefly with a thin needle, typically in the stomach, thighs or upper arms. Extension study: After the main study, not all participants will continue in the extension study. The study staff will tell the participant if they will continue or not into the extension study. In the extension study we will look at what happens to the participant's body weight and diseases related to excess body weight after the participant stops taking the study medicine. The main study will last for about 1½ years and the extension study will last for another 2 years.
The study is designed to assess the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and transformation within the human body of INV-202 investigational drug in the treatment of adult participants with a diagnosis of Diabetic Kidney Disease due to either Type 1 diabetes mellitus or Type 2 diabetes mellitus
This is a randomized, double-blind, parallel, multicenter, multinational study to compare the efficacy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety and immunogenicity of MB09 versus Prolia® in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis
This study is open to adults with Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Diseases (PF-ILDs). People who have a form of PF-ILD other than Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) can join the study. If they already take nintedanib, they can continue treatment throughout the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1015550 helps people with PF-ILD. Participants are put into 3 groups randomly, which means by chance. Participants in 2 groups take different doses of BI 1015550 as tablets twice a day. Participants in the placebo group take placebo tablets twice a day. Placebo tablets look like BI 1015550 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for up to two and a half years. During the first year, they visit the study site 10 times. Afterwards, they visit the study site every 3 months. The doctors regularly test participants' lung function. The results of the lung function tests are compared between the groups. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
Patients undergoing carotid revascularization procedures are at increased risk for the development of short- and long-term cardiac complications. Increased values of high-sensitive troponin may be useful in a timely selection of those patients. Still, contemporary literature doesn't provide enough data to answer the following questions: "Can high-sensitive troponin predict adverse cardiac outcomes perioperatively in carotid surgery?", "Should these cardiac biomarkers be routinely sampled in all patients undergoing carotid revascularization?" and "Can elevated levels of high-sensitive troponin preoperatively designate patients in whom the risk of surgical treatment (at a given moment) is greater than the benefit of the surgery?".
The purpose of the Columbus-AD study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 12 months of encorafenib in combination with binimetinib in adjuvant setting of BRAF V600E/K mutant stage IIB/C melanoma versus the current standard of care (surveillance).
