NCT ID: NCT04432519 Completed - Clinical trials for Dental Implant Failed

Multi-level Dimensional Changes at Immediate Implant Sites

Start date: June 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Studies evaluating the use of customized healing screws/abutments in immediate implant placement have been performed, aiming to assess possible advantages with the use of this treatment modality. Despite the existence of these investigations, there is a lack of information regarding a digital approach to evaluate in an objective manner soft and hard tissue dimensional changes at this treatment modality.

NCT ID: NCT04427072 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Non-Small-Cell Lung

Study of Capmatinib Efficacy in Comparison With Docetaxel in Previously Treated Participants With Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Harboring MET Exon 14 Skipping Mutation

GeoMETry-III
Start date: September 25, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to learn whether the study drug (capmatinib) helps to control lung cancer better compared to a single agent chemotherapy (docetaxel) and whether it is safe when given to patients suffering from a particular type of lung cancer. This type of cancer is called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with certain specific genetic alterations (called mutations) of a gene called MET, within a specific part of the gene called exon 14.

DEBBRAH
Start date: May 25, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, international, open-label, single-arm, multicohort, two-stage optimal Simon's design, phase II clinical trial

NCT ID: NCT04417751 Completed - Dementia Clinical Trials

Care at 360º: A Long-term Individual Cognitive Stimulation Program

Start date: July 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the intervention proposed in the present study is to assess the effect of a cognitive stimulation (CS) intervention program in an individual and long-term format, for non-institutionalized elderly people with neurocognitive disorders and in a situation of social vulnerability. Specifically, to test the effectiveness of CS on the global cognitive state, on mood state, on quality of life and on functional state. The program will be composed by 50 sessions, including three of assessment sessions (pre, intra and post-intervention). Each session will have a duration of 45 minutes with a weekly frequency. Control group participants will maintain their treatment as usual.

NCT ID: NCT04408651 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Medical Conditions

Low Intensity Internet Therapy for Chronic Illness (@LIIT.CI)

Start date: May 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Chronic illness (CI) presents a significant and negative effect on quality of life and mental health. Further, emotion regulation has been considered of particular importance on the determination of chronic patients' well-being. Evidence suggests that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an effective approach to improve psychological health in patients with CI. Further, there is some, although limited, evidence, that self-compassion training may be also useful in this context, and the inclusion of self-compassion elements in ACT interventions has even been the focus of attention by recent studies. Nevertheless, no study yet has compared the efficacy of these two types of intervention in CI. This is the aim of the present project - to analyse, in a low intensity eHealth intervention context, whether ACT or Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) present superiority over the other in improving mental health and illness-related outcomes in CI.

NCT ID: NCT04406688 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Prediction of Acute Kidney Injury in Patients With COVID-19

Start date: June 22, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The two biomarkers determined in urine, "Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP-2)" and "Insulin-like Growth Factor-Binding Protein 7 (IGFBP7)", can indicate the occurrence of Acute kidney injury (AKI) in cardiac surgery and critically ill patients at an early stage. However, no data are available whether these parameters can also predict the occurrence of AKI in the context of COVID-19 infection. An early prediction of AKI can be helpful for the optimisation of therapeutic management to improve patient outcome and for the triage of patients. The aim of this observational study is to evaluate whether the biomarker [TIMP- 2]*[IGFBP7] can predict the occurrence of AKI in critically ill patients suffering from SARS-CoV2 associated acute respiratory distress syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT04402463 Completed - Chronic Pain Clinical Trials

Effects of Global Postural Exercises Versus Specific Therapeutic Neck Exercises in Chronic Non-specific Neck Pain

Start date: June 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized, parallel, blinded, clinical trial of treatments. The general objective of this study is to analyze and compare the short-term results, during a 4-week follow-up, of two different treatments in patients with chronic nonspecific neck pain. The treatments to be applied are Global Postural Reeducation (GPR) and specific therapeutic exercise, applied during 8 treatment sessions in 4 weeks. These treatments will be applied by a physiotherapist with clinical experience in the treatment of cervical pain. During the study, 4 evaluations will be carried out to assess the effects of the interventions on pain, disability, standing postural control and neuromuscular behavior of the cervical muscles ((1) Baseline (pre-intervention); 2) Second pre-intervention (1 week later); 3) 1st post-intervention after four sessions (1+2 weeks later); 4) Final, 2nd post-intervention (1+4 weeks later))

NCT ID: NCT04400318 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

The Effect of Dupilumab on Lung Inflammation and Related Changes in Airway Volumes Detectable by Functional Respiratory Imaging in Patients With Moderate-severe Asthma

VESTIGE
Start date: June 22, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objective: • To assess the effect of dupilumab on lung inflammation and related changes in airway volumes detectable by functional respiratory imaging Secondary Objective: - To evaluate the effect of dupilumab at Week 24 on bronchodynamics, hyperinflation, airway resistance, airway wall thickness, ventilation defects and mucus plugging derived from high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scans, patient-reported outcomes, FeNO and spirometry. - To evaluate safety of dupilumab

NCT ID: NCT04388579 Completed - Respiratory Disease Clinical Trials

Screening Patients for a Strategic Shift to Pulmonary Telerehabilitation Because of COVID-19

PRAISE@COVID
Start date: March 20, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study applied the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Adapted Index of Self-Efficacy (PRAISE) on respiratory patients who had their on-going ambulatory Pulmonary Rehabilitation program interrupted due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The research hypothesis is that ranking patients' self-efficacy is a useful screening tool to support patients' follow-up on a Pulmonary Rehabilitation telehealth solution to be explored during the COVID-19 outbreak.

NCT ID: NCT04387994 Completed - Infertility, Female Clinical Trials

Determination of Circulating Placental Biomarkers Levels to Predict the Pregnancy Outcome of First Trimester After IVF.

Start date: June 12, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will assess the predictive potential of circulating placental biomarkers for spontaneous miscarriage within the following month in an IVF setting. It is hypothesized that a robust algorithm including one or more of these biomarkers may allow for the accurate same-day distinction between women with a low and high risk of a spontaneous miscarriage.
