This multi-country study seeks to collect real-world evidence (RWE), from Latin American and Caribbean countries, on the effectiveness of China-made COVID-19 vaccines in different populations, against different clinical outcomes, and when administered in different schedules.
The Phase 2 study will be conducted in adult patients with confirmed Dengue infection and will investigate safety, PK, and pharmacodynamics (PD) in this population. The study will be conducted in several dosing cohorts to enable dose selection for subsequent trials
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of zilovertamab vedotin as monotherapy and in combination in participants with select B-cell lymphomas including mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), Richter's transformation lymphoma (RTL), follicular lymphoma (FL), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This study will also evaluate zilovertamab vedotin as monotherapy and in combination with respect to objective response rate. - Cohort A: Participants with relapsed or refractory MCL relapsed or refractory disease after at least 2 prior systemic therapies including a Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibition/inhibitor (BTKi), and post therapy chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy or ineligible for CAR-T cell therapy - Cohort B: Participants with relapsed or refractory RT disease after at least 1 prior systemic therapy - Cohort C: Participants with relapsed or refractory MCL relapsed or refractory disease after at least 1 prior systemic therapy and no prior exposure to a non-covalent BTKi - Cohort D: Participants with relapsed or refractory FL and CLL relapsed or refractory disease after at least 2 prior systemic therapies and have no other available therapy - Cohort E: Participants with relapsed or refractory FL after at least 2 prior systemic therapies and have no other available therapy - Cohort F: Participants with relapsed or refractory CLL after at least 2 prior systemic therapies and have no other available therapy The primary study hypothesis is that zilovertamab vedotin monotherapy has an increased Objective Response Rate (ORR) per Lugano Response Criteria as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR).
Since their introduction in the late 90's, rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) have dramatically improved our ability to control malaria but proved insufficient to support elimination efforts because of their limited sensitivity, especially for P. vivax. In addition, the spread of P. falciparum parasites lacking hrp2 gene jeopardizes the long-term use of P. falciparum-specific HRP2-based RDTs. A partnership between Abbott, FIND, PATH, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) is addressing these limitations by developing two novel malaria RDTs with improved pLDH detection: a P. falciparum-specific test targeting both the HRP2 and PfLDH antigens on a single test line (NxTekTM Malaria P.f plus Rapid Diagnostic Test Device), and a P. falciparum/P. vivax combo test additionally targeting the PvLDH antigen on a second test line (NxTekTM Malaria P.f/P.v. plus Rapid Diagnostic Test Device). These new combo tests with improved pLDH detection may provide added value compared to currently available malaria RDTs, especially in settings where current tests prove to be insufficient due to hrp2 deletion or high burden of P. vivax malaria. Abbott, PATH, and FIND will conduct a prospective evaluation of NxTekTM Malaria P.f plus and NxTekTM Malaria P.f/P.v plus RDTs in malaria-endemic countries to assess their clinical performance for detection of malaria and usability in their intended-use settings. This is in support of a submission for WHO Prequalification.The purpose of this synopsis is to describe key points of alignment in study design and conduct across the portfolio of studies.
This study evaluates the effectiveness of an online Multi-component psychological intervention, that is focused on providing self-support to the population of 5 Latin American countries and 2 European Countries. The objectives of the intervention are: 1) To reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression in the adult population, 2) To increase the levels of subjective well-being.
The Near-infrared transcranial laser therapy (NIR-TLT) is a non-ionizing electromagnetic wave. The NIR-TLT is invisible, penetrates the skin and skull into brain tissue and is non-invasive. The benefits of NIR-TLT are wavelength specific. A mitochondrial enzyme, the Cytochrome c oxidase, is the primary chromophore for the NIR-TLT with a wavelength of around 830 nm. When this enzyme is activated, it leads to increased adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production and this event is related to the promotion of cellular plasticity and cytoprotection. These are critical cellular processes for recovery of the depressive patients. Therefore, this study will contribute to answer the question of whether NIR-TLT has an antidepressant effect and whether it is acceptable in minority population.
This is a Phase IIIb, multinational, multicenter, randomized, open-label study to evaluate patient preference of the fixed-dose combination of pertuzumab and trastuzumab for subcutaneous use (PH FDC SC) administration in the home setting compared with the hospital setting during the cross-over period of adjuvant treatment in participants with early or locally advanced/inflammatory human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive (HER2+) breast cancer.
