APPLAUSE-IgAN
Start date: January 25, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed as a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study to demonstrate the superiority of iptacopan (LNP023) at a dose of 200 mg b.i.d. compared to placebo on top of maximally tolerated ACEi or ARB on reduction of proteinuria and slowing renal disease progression in primary IgA Nephropathy patients.

NCT ID: NCT04560998 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

A Research Study to Compare a Medicine Called Semaglutide Against Placebo in People With Peripheral Arterial Disease and Type 2 Diabetes

STRIDE
Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is done to see if semaglutide has an effect on walking ability compared with placebo (dummy medicine) in people with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and type 2 diabetes. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo ("dummy") medicine - which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Semaglutide is a medicine for type 2 diabetes that can be prescribed by doctors in some countries. Participants will get the study medicine (semaglutide or placebo) in a pre-filled pen for injection. Participants must inject it once a week into the stomach area, thigh, or upper arm, at any time of the day. The study will last for about 59 weeks. Participants will have 8 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor. At some clinic visits, participants will have blood tests. At some visits participants will also do a treadmill test to measure how far they can walk. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study period.

NCT ID: NCT04540276 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Intraoperative Hyperoxia and MINS

Start date: February 4, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Oxygen therapy is administered to all patients during general anesthesia to maintain tissue oxygenation and prevent hypoxia and ischemia. However, liberal use of oxygen may lead to hyperoxia and some studies suggest that supranormal levels of arterial oxygen saturation may lead to complications. In this post hoc substudy of the VISION cohort, we plan to assess the association between perioperative inspired oxygen fraction (FiO2) and myocardial injury after non-cardiac surgery (MINS).

NCT ID: NCT04538664 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Non-Small-Cell Lung

A Study of Combination Amivantamab and Carboplatin-Pemetrexed Therapy, Compared With Carboplatin-Pemetrexed, in Participants With Advanced or Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Characterized by Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) Exon 20 Insertions

PAPILLON
Start date: October 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy, as demonstrated by progression-free survival (PFS), in participants treated with amivantamab in combination with chemotherapy, versus chemotherapy alone in participants with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) characterized by EGFR Exon 20ins mutations.

NCT ID: NCT04529681 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Stroke Riskometer Apps In Improving Awareness and Stroke Risk Probability

Start date: August 31, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This intervention study using the Stroke Riskometer Apps as health promotion and disease prevention tools for the stroke prevention. Study will specifically target the young adult population (18-50 years old) who are the population at risk for young stroke. The study will determine the effectiveness of Stroke Riskometer Apps by assessing the awareness (knowledge, perception of stroke risk and intention to change behaviours) using the translated ABCD risk questionnaire and stroke risk probability using Stroke Riskometer Apps.

NCT ID: NCT04497844 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Castration-sensitive Prostate Cancer

A Study of Niraparib in Combination With Abiraterone Acetate and Prednisone Versus Abiraterone Acetate and Prednisone for the Treatment of Participants With Deleterious Germline or Somatic Homologous Recombination Repair (HRR) Gene-Mutated Metastatic Castration-Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mCSPC)

AMPLITUDE
Start date: September 23, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine if the combination of niraparib with Abiraterone Acetate (AA) plus prednisone compared with AA plus prednisone in participants with deleterious germline or somatic Homologous Recombination Repair (HRR) gene-mutated Metastatic Castration-Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mCSPC) provides superior efficacy in improving radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS).

NCT ID: NCT04487080 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Non-Small-Cell Lung

A Study of Amivantamab and Lazertinib Combination Therapy Versus Osimertinib in Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

MARIPOSA
Start date: September 30, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of the amivantamab and lazertinib combination, compared with osimertinib, in participants with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation (Exon 19 deletions [Exon 19del] or Exon 21 L858R substitution) positive, locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

NCT ID: NCT04435626 Active, not recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Efficacy (Effect on Disease) and Safety of Finerenone on Morbidity (Events Indicating Disease Worsening) & Mortality (Death Rate) in Participants With Heart Failure and Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (Proportion of Blood Expelled Per Heart Stroke) Greater or Equal to 40%

Start date: September 14, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of finerenone compared to placebo (a tablet without active substance) in the reduction of cardiovascular death (generally meaning death due to disease of the heart or blood vessels) and total Heart Failure (HF) events, including HF hospitalization and urgent visits for HF(generally meaning a hospital stay or urgent presentation to a healthcare unit due to worsening symptoms of heart failure) in patients suffering from HF with an ejection fraction greater than or equal to 40%. Researchers will also collect information on how much the heart disease has impact on patient's lives, change of kidney function, and how well finerenone treatment is tolerated. The study plans to enroll 6000 male and female patients of the age of 40 years and above suffering from heart failure with ejection fraction greater than or equal to 40%. Participants will take the study product as oral tablet with a dose between 0 (Placebo) 40 mg once daily. Study duration will be up to 43 months.
