There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This Phase III, randomized, two-arm, open-label, multicenter study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of giredestrant plus Phesgo compared with Phesgo after induction therapy with Phesgo plus taxane in participants with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive, estrogen receptor (ER)-positive advanced breast cancer (metastatic or locally advanced disease not amenable to curative treatment) who have not previously received a systemic non-hormonal anti-cancer therapy in the advanced setting.
The purpose of this study is to better characterize and understand the population of patients with ambulatory or acutely decompensated heart failure in the American continent, getting to know their sociodemographic, clinical and paraclinical characteristics
Open-label histological study of scalp biopsies from patients undergoing treatment with Cerebrolysin as therapy for cerebrovascular disease. The aim is to assess by histological techniques the causes of follicular repigmentation that occurs during the Cerebrolysin treatment.
The purpose of this study is to learn whether adding abemaciclib to abiraterone plus prednisone prolongs the time before prostate cancer gets worse. Participation may last approximately 60 months.
The objective of this study was to assess the effect of oral nutritional supplementation (ONS) combined with bioelectrical vector analysis (BIVA) on the nutritional and hydration status and the quality of life (QoL) in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Design and Methods: Thirty-two chronic HD patients were included in a 6-month randomized pilot study. Patients in SUPL group received a simultaneous intervention consisting of a personalized diet, 245 mL/d ONS and dry weight adjustment through BIVA. Patients in CON group received a personalized diet and dry weight adjustment by BIVA. Anthropometrical, biochemical, dietary, QoL, handgrip strength (HGS) and bioimpedance measurements were performed. Malnutrition Inflammation Score (MIS) was applied.
This study is open to children and adolescents with interstitial lung disease (ILD) that causes lung fibrosis. This is a study for people who took part in a previous study (study 1199-0337, InPedILD™) and for people who are between 6 and 17 years old and have fibrosing ILD. This study tests a medicine called nintedanib. Nintedanib is already used to treat different types of lung fibrosis in adults. The purpose of the study is to find out how well long-term treatment with nintedanib is tolerated in children and adolescents. All participants take nintedanib capsules twice a day. Participants are in the study for at least 1 year and 5 months or until nintedanib or other treatment options become available outside of this study. During the first 3 years, they visit the study site about 15 times. Afterwards, they visit the study site every 3 months. The doctors collect information on any health problems of the participants.
The use of interactive applications associated with movement sensors has begun to spread as an option for the reinforcement of physical rehabilitation therapies in patients with acquired motor disabilities as a consequence of some neurological damage, due to their portability and the relative autonomy that they grant to the patient. However, the results of its effectiveness and impact continue to be discreet compared to traditional therapy. The present study aims to explore possible changes in motor function and in the brain's functional connectivity through resting-state functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (rs-fMRI), for subacute ischemic stroke outpatients, associated with occupational therapy using interactive applications as a therapeutic complement, comparing with patients on conventional therapy, for which a randomized pilot study with an experimental group and a matched control group will be carried out. The intervention will consist of the application of a virtual rehabilitation program in addition to physical therapy for the experimental group, while the control group will receive conventional physical therapy. Before and after the said intervention, standardized tests will be applied to evaluate the mobility, motor function, and cognitive impairment of the participants. The results obtained will be subject to statistical analysis.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus represents threats to global health and economy. The high pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 extent that the Mexican government declared a national health emergency, agreeing to take extraordinary measures such as the suspension of non-essential work, including the suspension of academic activities at all levels, in order to minimize the dispersion and transmission of the virus and its consequences. Several previously reported quarantine evaluations have shown that psychological stress reactions can arise from the experience of physical and social isolation, so the current global threat of isolation has shaken the usual practices of the general population, including young people, and resulting in the modification of their academic, labor and social dynamics. The usual behavior in this phenomenon establishes that greater social isolation is associated with less satisfaction with life, higher levels of depression and lower levels of psychological well-being or performance as well as changes in diet. Understanding the factors related to coping with COVID-19 is essential to issue guidance on health in the student population, for that, the present proposal intends to evaluate changes in health parameters derived from the resumption of academic activities in person for a year in university students of health sciences area.
COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2, that appeared in 2019. The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus a pandemic on 11 March 2020. The evolution of the pandemic is varying across countries, affected in part by different containment strategies ranging from extreme lockdown to relative inaction. As a result, there are regional waves of the disease and pockets of vulnerable populations. Globally, governments have acknowledged that effective vaccines against COVID-19 are the only way to guarantee a safe and sustained exit strategy from repeated lockdowns. The objective of this study is to estimate the vaccine effectiveness against hospitalizations due to circulating COVID-19 VoC among subjects eligible for vaccination with the AstraZeneca or any other COVID-19 vaccine provided in their country as per national/regional immunization recommendations prior to hospital admission. The study design is an observational prospective active-surveillance hospital-based study, with a test-negative case-control design (TNCC) of hospitalized COVID-19 like cases undergoing testing for SARS-CoV-2
Randomized, placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the coadjuvant effect of a combination of L. plantarum and P. acidilactici probiotic strains, taken twice daily, in children 6 months to 5 years-old with upper respiratory tract infections with pharyngitis and/or tonsillitis. Main objective is to evaluate efficacy of this probiotic in reducing fever and pain, as well to evaluate its safety.
