There are about 7997 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Japan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
It is sometimes difficult to precisely understand whether a primary liver cancer is a hepatocellular carcinoma or a cholangiocarcinoma. The researchers will develop and validate a liquid biopsy, based on exosomal content analysis and powered by machine learning, to help clinicians differentiate these two cancers before surgery.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) once predominantly affected older individuals, but in recent years has witnessed a progressive increase in incidence among young adults. Once rare, early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC, that is, a CRC diagnosed before the age of 50) now constitutes 10-15% of all newly diagnosed CRC cases and it stands as the first cause of cancer-related death in young men and the second for young women. This study aims to detect EOCRC with a non-invasive test, using a blood-based molecular assay based on microRNA (ribonucleic acid)
This study compares insulin icodec, a new insulin taken once a week, to insulin glargine, an insulin taken once a day. The study medicine will be investigated in participants with type 2 diabetes. Participants will either get insulin icodec or insulin glargine. Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Insulin icodec is the new medicine being tested, while insulin glargine is already approved and can be prescribed by doctors. Participants will get one injection of insulin icodec once a week, or one injection of insulin glargine once a day, depending on the treatment group participants are assigned into. Participants will use a pen with a small needle to inject the medicine under participants skin into participants thigh, upper arm or stomach. The study will last for about 9 months, but participants will only be taking the study medicine for 6 months.
The goal of this clinical study is to learn more about the effects of switching to the study drugs, bictegravir (BIC)/lenacapavir (LEN), fixed-dose combination (FDC) versus current therapy bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF) FDC in people living with HIV-1 (PWH). The primary objective of this study is to learn how effective it is to switch to BIC/LEN FDC tablets versus continuing on B/F/TAF FDC tablets in virologically suppressed PWH.
This is a multicenter, prospective, observational surveillance enrolling 140 consecutive patients with severe emphysema who are candidates for bronchoscopic lung volume reduction using Zephyr Endobronchial Valve at up to 20 centers across Japan and followed for 12 months.

Participants will take 1-2 injections once a week. The study medicine will be injected under skin with a thin needle in the stomach, thigh, or upper arm. The study will last for about 42 weeks.

The study will test up to 7 different doses of NNC0519-0130. Which treatment participant will get is decided by chance. Participants will take 1-3 injections once a week. The study medicine will be injected under skin with a thin needle in the stomach, thigh, or upper arm. The study will last for about 40 weeks.
The main aim of this study is to check if TAK-279 improves symptoms of With Generalized Pustular Psoriasis (GPP) or Erythrodermic Psoriasis (EP) and side effect from the study treatment or TAK-279. All participants will be assigned to study treatments of TAK-279 and will be treated with TAK-279 if the participants meet the study rules. Participants will be in the study for up to 61 weeks including 52 weeks of study treatment. During the study, participants will visit their study clinic for multiple times.
This study will look at how much CagriSema helps people with type 2 diabetes lower their blood sugar and body weight. CagriSema is a new investigational medicine. Doctors may not yet prescribe CagriSema. CagriSema will be compared to a "dummy" medicine (also called "placebo") that has no effect on the body. Participant will get either CagriSema or "dummy" medicine and which treatment they get is decided by chance. Participant will take the study medicine together with their current diabetes medicine (once-daily insulin with or without metformin). For each participant, the study will last for about one year.
The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of amyloid related imaging abnormalities (ARIA) and investigate the treatment continuation status (e.g., continuation, interruption) after the onset of ARIA in routine clinical practice in participants treated with lecanemab.
