There are about 483 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Jordan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is a multicenter, international, open-label phase II study. Based on inclusion/exclusion criteria, eligible pre and postmenopausal patients with newly diagnosed metastatic luminal hormone receptor-positive and HER2 negative breast cancer, will be prospectively treated with a standard combination of hormone therapy (Letrozole or Anastrozole) and Palbociclib. This combination will continue until progression. Treatment response will be evaluated every three months using clinical and radiological assessments (Revised RECIST guidelines). Patients will undergo serial liquid biopsies (blood tests) for plasma molecular fingerprinting by the Quantum Optics technology. This study will be the first program exploring the adjunction of the Quantum Optics technology on liquid biopsies to define individual 'molecular fingerprinting profiles' to predict the individual therapeutic effects of Palbociclib combined with Aromatase Inhibitors (AI) (plus ovarian function suppression (OFS) for pre/peri-menopausal patients) in luminal hormone receptor-positive and HER2 negative advanced breast cancer. Batteries of algorithmic tests will integrate the variables obtained by Quantum Optics (to evaluate the efficacy or not of the combination of Palbociclib + Aromatase Inhibitors (AI) ). This approach introduces the concept of singularity to break from the classic idea of "one size fits all".
Objective: This study aimed to examine the effects of mindfulness meditation on trait mindfulness, perceived stress, emotion regulation, and quality of life in end-stage renal disease patients undergoing hemodialysis. Method: An experimental repeated measures design was used among a sample of 74 end-stage renal disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at a dialysis center at Jahra hospital, Kuwait. The patients were randomly assigned to the experimental (n=37) and control groups (n=37). The experimental group participated in 30-minute mindfulness meditation sessions (three sessions a week for five weeks) held during their hemodialysis sessions. The dependent variables of both groups were measured at baseline, middle of intervention, and end of intervention using the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), and Kidney Disease Quality of Life (KDQOL-36) questionnaire.
Background: Nursing students around the world can experience tremendous stress due to their multi-faceted responsibilities. Stress is related to negative health and academic outcomes. Mind-body connection modalities have been used successfully to reduce stress and improve health among healthy and ill individuals in various cultures, but their effects have not yet been studied in the Arab culture. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine and compare the effects of three of such modalities including progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), guided imagery (GI), and mindfulness meditation (MM) on stress and health outcomes in Jordanian nursing students. Methods: Using a randomized controlled design, 124 nursing students will be randomly assigned to 4 groups at a large university in Jordan. The 3 experimental groups (PMR, GI, and MM) will participate in 5 30-minute sessions (one session/week for 5 weeks) led by experienced trainers, in a private room during their clinical days. The control group will stay calm for 30 minutes during introducing the study interventions in another room at the university. The health outcomes will be measured at baseline (Time 1) and the end (Time 3) of the intervention in each group using different physical and self-report measures classified into different health categories such as cognitive health outcomes (executive brain function, stressful appraisal, mindfulness), physical health outcomes (e.g. physical symptoms, heart rate, blood pressure, neurobiological markers such as dopamine, serotonin, cortisol, adrenaline, and noradrenaline), and psychological health outcomes (e.g. depression, anxiety).
Postoperative agitation is a common complication, it's incidence post head and neck surgery is around 11-26%. Avoiding such complication is mandatory to facilitate patient's recovery and reduce risk of postoperative agitation related complications. Our study aims to detect the incidence of agitation following nasal surgery, and to determine the midazolam effect on agitation, when administered just before emergence from anesthesia.

Dental caries is one of the most prevalent non-communicable disease. However, despite its prevalence there is no consensus on how much caries to remove prior to placing a restoration to achieve optimal outcomes. Evidence for selective compared to complete nonselective excavation suggests there may be benefit for selective removal in sustaining tooth vitality while histological studies reveal that the remaining dentine is actually infected and may cause loss of vitality in long term. The aim of this study is to randomly compare selective to non-elective excavation methods in carious mature permanent teeth with symptoms of reversible pulpitis
A sample of 40 patients poststroke (24 males) was randomly allocated to either ESWT experimental (n=18) or conventional physiotherapy control group (n=20). All patients received 5 sessions during the treatment program. The Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Taiwan version Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) questionnaire, and dynamometer (Maximal grip strength) for each participant were assessed before and after the treatment program.
Multi-Center, Randomized, Double-Blinded Phase 3 Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of IMU-838 versus Placebo in Adults with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (ENSURE-1)
Study is an interventional clinical trial. children (aged 6-18 years) diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease will be recruited conveniently from Endocrinology pediatric clinic at Prince Hamzah Hospital. Amman, Jordan. A sample of 45 diagnosed children, who will meet the inclusion criteria and will be agreed to participate will be centrally randomized to follow carbohydrate counting with GFD dietary intervention, carbohydrate counting with GFD and DASH dietary intervention, and control dietary intervention.
