NCT ID: NCT05321082 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Lung Diseases, Interstitial

A Study to Find Out Whether BI 1015550 Improves Lung Function in People With Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Diseases (PF-ILDs)

Start date: October 5, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is open to adults with Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Diseases (PF-ILDs). People who have a form of PF-ILD other than Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) can join the study. If they already take nintedanib, they can continue treatment throughout the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1015550 helps people with PF-ILD. Participants are put into 3 groups randomly, which means by chance. Participants in 2 groups take different doses of BI 1015550 as tablets twice a day. Participants in the placebo group take placebo tablets twice a day. Placebo tablets look like BI 1015550 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for up to two and a half years. During the first year, they visit the study site 10 times. Afterwards, they visit the study site every 3 months. The doctors regularly test participants' lung function. The results of the lung function tests are compared between the groups. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

A Study to Find Out Whether BI 1015550 Improves Lung Function in People With Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)

Start date: September 19, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is open to adults with a lung disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). People can join the study if they are 40 years or older. If they already take nintedanib or pirfenidone for their IPF, they can continue treatment throughout the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1015550 helps people with IPF. Participants are put into 3 groups randomly, which means by chance. Participants in 2 groups take different doses of BI 1015550 as tablets twice a day. Participants in the placebo group take placebo tablets twice a day. NCT ID: NCT05305820 Active, not recruiting - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Perioperative Exercise and Nutritional Optimisation Prehabilitation Before Surgery for Patients With Peritoneal Malignancy

PANO
Start date: September 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

People who are diagnosed with cancer of the colon/rectum/appendix/ovaries that spreads into the lining of the tummy and some ovarian cancers or people with pseudomyxoma peritonei can often undergo intensive treatment including major surgery where chemotherapy is given whilst the person is having surgery - also known by doctors as surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Fitness for this surgery can improve if people undertake a prehabilitation programme at the time they get their diagnosis. To date, little research has focused on how exercise and nutrition support before surgery can help these patients during recovery. The aim of this study is to explore the use of exercise and nutritional support pre-treatment to enhance physical and psychological outcomes for patients.

NCT ID: NCT05239728 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

Start date: March 15, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of oral belzutifan (MK-6482) plus intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab (MK-3475) compared to placebo plus pembrolizumab, in the adjuvant treatment of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (ccRCC) post nephrectomy. The primary study hypothesis is that belzutifan plus pembrolizumab is superior to placebo plus pembrolizumab with respect to disease-free survival (DFS).

NCT ID: NCT05224141 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Carcinoma

Pembrolizumab/Vibostolimab (MK-7684A) or Atezolizumab in Combination With Chemotherapy in First Line Treatment of Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer (MK-7684A-008, KEYVIBE-008)

Start date: March 24, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the combination of a fixed dose pembrolizumab/vibostolimab co-formulation (MK-7684A) with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by MK-7684A compared to the combination of atezolizumab with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by atezolizumab in the first-line treatment of Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer (ES-SCLC). The primary hypothesis is, with respect to overall survival, MK-7684A in combination with the background therapy of etoposide/platinum followed by MK-7684A, is superior to atezolizumab in combination with the background therapy of etoposide/platinum followed by atezolizumab.
