There are about 1183 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Indonesia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
A randomized controlled trial to assess the effectiveness of the brief mindfulness on teachers' perceived stress and their psychological well-being.
Double J stent (ureteral stent) can cause discomfort to patients, generally due to irritation of the bladder mucosa, especially in the trigone area, smooth muscle spasm, and reflux of urine into the ureter. Complaints often appear in patients, especially lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), pain in the waist when urinating due to reflux of urine, sexual dysfunction, and hematuria. Currently, to assess complaints after ureteral stent placement, the Ureteral Stent Symptom Questionnaire instrument consists of 6 topics: urinary complaints, pain, general health, work, sexual problems, and other things. Interleukin-6 is an important inflammatory cytokine when irritation occurs after ureteral stent placement. Interleukin 10 is a cytokine with potent anti-inflammatory properties that plays a central role in limiting the host's immune response to pathogens, thereby preventing host damage and maintaining normal tissue homeostasis. The profile of these biomarkers has the potential to determine the correct prognosis and therapy. Mirabegron is a β3 adrenergic receptor agonist that has a dual antioxidant effect that plays a key role in the first step of the antimicrobial response and early resolution of inflammation so that post-stent complaints similar to overactive bladder complaints can be resolved. Tamsulosin (a selective α1A- and α1D-adrenoceptor antagonist) has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscle in the prostate, the neck of the bladder, and the distal ureter, thereby reducing the inflammatory reaction and improving oxidative stress by reducing the formation of reactive oxidative stress.
Chemotherapy is a common treatment for treating cancer. Chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is nausea and vomiting that occurs after chemotherapy. Complete protection of standard antiemetic drugs against CINV symptoms in children and adolescents receiving moderately and strongly emetogenic chemotherapy drugs was less than 50%. The side effects of chemotherapy in the form of CINV are so unpleasant that chemotherapy causes extreme anxiety and stress. The psychological characteristics of adolescents who have a greater perception of the changes that occur cause more frequent anxiety which can increase the risk of CINV. Acupuncture with laserpuncture modality is a non-pharmacological therapy that has a good effect on CINV symptoms in adolescents. This research was conducted for the first time in Brazil in 2019, while in Indonesia there has never been any research on this matter. So it is hoped that this research will be the first research in Indonesia to prove that the effect of laserpuncture plays a role in CINV symptoms in adolescents and can be an additional treatment in standard therapy for CINV problems in adolescents.
The goal of this clinical trial study is to learn about the role of traditional music therapy on burnout syndrome among healthcare workers, based on psychology, neurology, immunology, and endocrinology aspects. The main questions it aims to answer are : 1. How traditional music therapy can improve psychological aspects (emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation, and personal accomplishment) among healthcare workers with burnout syndrome? 2. How traditional music therapy can improve neuroautonom aspects (heart rate variability) among healthcare workers with burnout syndrome? 3. How traditional music therapy can improve immunology aspects (IgA and T cell regulator) among healthcare workers with burnout syndrome? 4. How traditional music therapy can improve endocrinology aspects (cortisol and endorphine) among healthcare workers with burnout syndrome?
Pain is one of the most important symptoms of cancer patients, with nearly 40% of all cancer patients experiencing moderate to severe pain. Gynecological oncology patients on palliative care have a chief complaint of pain or significant nausea/vomiting, contrary to the patient's initial complaints on admission such as fever, infection, dyspnea, changes, altered consciousness, bleeding, pancytopenia. Strong recommendations by WHO regarding the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), paracetamol and opioids either alone or in combination in adults, including the elderly and adolescents with cancer-related pain in the early stages, pain relief depending on clinical judgment and severity to achieve pain treatment which is fast and safe. Ear acupuncture is a simple and safe method that can be used alone or in combination with other forms of medical care, which is effective in treating a variety of conditions as well as painful conditions. Based on the previous 2020 systematic review regarding ear acupuncture in its benefits in cancer pain, it was stated that ear acupuncture was effective in treating pain in cancer patients with moderate pain levels, effective for reducing pain scores, faster onset, and longer duration of analgesics. Ear acupuncture is also more effective when compared to standard therapy without acupuncture, so it can be used as an additional modality for cancer pain. Currently there is no research on the effectiveness of BFA ear acupuncture therapy in the treatment of gynecological cancer pain to treat it based on the consistency of point selection, so it is necessary to conduct research on the effectiveness of BFA ear acupuncture therapy in the treatment of gynecological cancer pain. This study aim to analyze the effectiveness of BFA ear acupuncture therapy plus standard therapy on pain intensity (VAS score), changes in analgesic dose, and quality of life (EORTC QLQ C-30 score) in patients with gynecological cancer pain compared to standard therapy alone.
The aim of this study is evaluating safety and effectiveness of Ovine Enoxaparin Sodium in Non-ST-Segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome (NSTEACS) Patients
This study is a cross-sectional study to evaluate accuracy of high-risk DNA-HPV testing using HPV Diagnostic Kit (Bio Farma) compared to Standard Kit (COBAS® 6800 HPV from Roche Molecular Systems) RT-PCR based in urine and cervical swab specimens.
This study to apprehend the relation of SpO2/FiO2 to PaO2/FiO2 in ARDS patients.
The goal of this clinical trial is to to investigate the efficacy of acupressure and standardized curcuminoids from turmeric extract to inflammatory markers, endorphin hormones in the blood and quality of life in elderly patient with Osteoarthritis Genu. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is there any effect combination of acupressure and standardized curcuminoids from turmeric extract to inflammatory markers in elderly patients with Osteoarthritis Genu? 2. Is there any effect combination of acupressure and standardized curcuminoids from turmeric extract to endorphin hormones in the blood in elderly patients with Osteoarthritis Genu? 3. Is there an effect combination of acupressure and standardized curcuminoids from turmeric extract to quality of life in elderly patients with Osteoarthritis Genu? Participants in the intervention group received 2 treatments, namely acupressure at points that provide osteoarthritis-specific comfort and standardized curcuminoids from turmeric extract capsules. Participant in the control group alo would receive 2 treatments, an active placebo (starch capsules and sham acupressure). Researchers will compare interventional group and sham group to see efficacy the combination therapy
Investigators conducted an observational diagnostic study. The primary objective of the study is to develop a scoring system for detecting pre-lung cancer abnormalities using narrow-band imaging (NBI) bronchoscopy. From the collected data, investigators will perform a multivariate analysis based on the odds ratio (OR) using IBM SPSS software. The result of the data analysis will be transformed into a scoring system aimed to facilitate the early diagnosis of lung cancer, specifically at the pre-cancer stage. This scoring system will also help clinicians detect pre-cancerous abnormalities early and improve patient recovery prospects. Several research questions to be addressed are as follows: 1. What are the NBI image criteria for detecting pre-cancerous lesions in lung tumor patients? 2. What is the diagnostic profile of NBI bronchoscopy in detecting pre-cancerous lesions in lung tumor patients? 3. Can adding the NBI bronchoscopy procedure to the standard bronchoscopy procedure enhance the diagnostic accuracy in detecting pre-cancerous lesions in lung tumor patients? The study population consists of lung tumor patients who have undergone bronchoscopy procedures and meet the protocol acceptance criteria. Bronchial biopsies will be collected from these patients, followed by histopathological examinations.
