NCT ID: NCT06188000 Active, not recruiting - Capecitabine Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) Supplementation on Hand-Foot Syndrome Incidence in Patients With Capecitabine

EVOO
Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study was aimed to evaluate the efficacy of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) supplementation compared to placebo to prevent HFS by observing changes in serum COX 2, malondialdehyde (MDA), and TNF α levels in breast cancer and colorectal cancer patients undergoing capecitabine chemotherapy. Current study was designed as a single-center prospective randomized clinical trial. The patients were Stage III or Stage IV colorectal and breast cancer patients receiving capecitabine-based chemotherapy who enrolled in the trial voluntarily. All patients were divided randomly into three groups treated with EVOO, olive oil, or placebo. The incidence of hand foot syndrome was documented. The serum COX 2, malondialdehyde (MDA), and TNF α levels before and after chemotherapy was documented.

NCT ID: NCT06181838 Active, not recruiting - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Comparison of Quality of Life in Moderate Acne Vulgaris Patients Based on Acne-QoL-INA Using Standard Therapy With and Without Acne Lesions Extraction

Start date: August 28, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will compare the quality of life between 2 groups, which are group that receive standard moderate acne therapy in addition of lesion extractions, and the second group which only receive standard moderate acne therapy without lesion extractions.

NCT ID: NCT06170346 Active, not recruiting - Photodamaged Skin Clinical Trials

Effect of Topical Agents With Various Antioxidant Containts on Photodamage Skin Induced

Start date: November 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation of the skin leads to acute inflammatory reactions such as erythema, sunburn, and chronic reactions, including premature skin aging and skin tumors. UV irradiation is a potent generator of oxidative stress in the skin. Exposure of mammalian skin to UV increases the cellular levels of reactive oxygen species, which damages lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids in both epidermal and dermal cells and contributes to the sunburn reaction as well as photocarcinogenesis and photoaging. In this study, the effects of a topical antioxidant on attenuating the harmful effects of UV irradiation on normal healthy volunteers were studied using biomarkers of skin damage. This study confirms the protective role of a unique mixture of antioxidants on human skin from the harmful effects of UV irradiation. We propose that antioxidant mixture will complement and synergize with sunscreens in providing photoprotection for human skin.

NCT ID: NCT06160765 Active, not recruiting - Growth Faltering Clinical Trials

The Efficacy of High Density Formula 1.5 kcal/ml or 1 kcal/ml On Catch Up Growth In Growth Faltering Children

Start date: November 27, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

High density calorie is an Oral Nutrition Supplement (ONS) which is a high calorie formula (High Density Formula) and suggested as nutritional therapy to assist children who are undernourished or undergoing growth faltering. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Indonesian Ministry of Health have established regulations governing the use of ONS for children suffering from undernutrition, whether or not an infection is present. ONS available on the Indonesian market provides an energy density of between 1-1.5 kcal/ml. This study has the potential to clarify the advantages of ONS administration and evaluate its efficacy in comparison to nutritional therapy (1 kcal/ml or 1.5 kcal/ml) to facilitate rapid catch-up growth by examining the rate of increase in body weight, body lenght and undernourished children, particularly when infection is present. Purposes: 1. Analyze the effect of the 1.5 kcal/ml high dense formula (ONS) on the average weight gain in undernourished children accompanied by infections 2. Analyze the effect of the 1.5 kcal/ml calorie dense formula (ONS) on the average increase in PB in undernourished children accompanied by infections 3. Analyze the effect of the 1 kcal/ml calorie dense formula (ONS) on the average weight gain in undernourished children accompanied by infections 4. Analyze the effect of 1 kcal/ml calorie dense formula (ONS) on the average increase in PB in undernourished children accompanied by infections 5. Analyze the effect of the 1.5 kcal/ml calorie dense formula (ONS) on changes in nutritional status in undernourished children accompanied by infections

NCT ID: NCT06068816 Active, not recruiting - Malnutrition Clinical Trials

Effect of Nutritional Supplementation on Nutritional Status & Rehospitalization in Malnourished Elderly Patients

Start date: June 5, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary outcome is the mean difference in energy and protein as well as a selection of micronutrients (calcium, vitamin D, and Vitamin B12) after 12 weeks of intervention between standard care plus nutritional supplementation vs standard care. The secondary outcomes are body weight, nutritional status, body composition, physical performance, vitamin D level, and nonelective hospitalization The Study Hypothesize: The hypothesize that outpatients who receive nutrient-dense drinks (NDD) will have increased body weight, better nutritional status, better body composition, higher vitamin D level, better physical performance and reduced non-elective hospitalization than those receiving standard care after 12 weeks of intervention.

Hair Regeneration in Androgenetic Alopecia

Start date: August 14, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial study aims to compare the effectiveness and safety of secretome from ADSCs with minoxidil in AGA cases, to provide future reference or standard in the application of cell-based therapy and its derivatives in AGA cases. The subject of this study is androgenetic alopecia population. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is the secretome of ADSC's effective compared to minoxidil? - Is the secretome of ADSC's safe compared to minoxidil? - Is the combination of the secretome of ADSC's and minoxidil better in safety and effectiveness compared to secretome or minoxidil alone?
