There are about 367 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Guatemala. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is to assess the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of SC MK-3475A vs intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab, administered with chemotherapy in first line treatment of adult participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The primary hypotheses of this study are MK-3475A subcutaneous (SC) is noninferior to pembrolizumab IV with respect to PK parameters.
This is a single group study assessing the feasibility of hypertension management by community health workers (CHWs) equipped with a mobile clinical decision support (CDS) application and working with remote physician supervision.
This is a Phase 2/3 randomized, observer-blinded, placebo-controlled, age de-escalation trial to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of 2 primary doses and a booster dose of NVX CoV2373 given 21 days apart in pediatric participants (3 age cohorts; 6 to < 12 years, 2 to < 6 years, and 6 to < 24 months of age). Each age cohort will be conducted in 2 parts starting with the oldest age cohort (6 to < 12 years of age).
Promoting optimal development for children at risk in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) is an important global health priority. Supporting caregivers to provide nurturing care is an evidence-based strategy, however feasibility of scaling-up this supporting is limited by competing demands on health workers' time. For infant development, mHealth technologies have the potential to solve this problem by providing tailored content directly to caregivers, involving and empowering them to promote infant development, promoting and facilitating interactions with health workers when areas of concern are identified and, therefore, expanding the reach of healthcare systems. This overall study is designed to explore this idea, by designing a caregiver-directed smartphone application to directly engage first-time caregivers in rural Guatemala in providing nurturing care and, after design, to conduct a prospective implementation trial of its use followed by an adequately-powered efficacy study.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of vericiguat in participants with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), specifically those with symptomatic chronic HFrEF who have not had a recent hospitalization for heart failure or need for outpatient intravenous (IV) diuretics. The primary hypothesis is that vericiguat is superior to placebo in reducing the risk of cardiovascular death or heart failure hospitalization.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate pembrolizumab (MK-3475) subcutaneous (SC) administration as the first-line therapy in the treatment of metastatic squamous and nonsquamous NSCLC by assessing the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety, and efficacy of pembrolizumab SC injection in combination with standard-of-care chemotherapy. The primary hypothesis of the study is Pembrolizumab SC is noninferior to pembrolizumab intravenous (IV) for Cycle 1 Area Under Curve (AUC) and Cycle 6 minimal concentration (Ctrough) at steady state. Participants who discontinue study treatment after receiving the first course of 35 administrations of pembrolizumab (approximately up to 2 years) for reasons other than disease progression or intolerability, may be eligible for a second course of pembrolizumab for up to approximately 1 additional year if they have experienced radiographic disease progression per RECIST 1.1 as assessed by BICR after stopping first course treatment.
The safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab plus the investigator's choice of chemotherapy will be assessed compared to placebo plus the investigator's choice of chemotherapy in the treatment of chemotherapy-candidate hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR+/HER2-) locally recurrent inoperable or metastatic breast cancer. The primary hypotheses are that the combination of pembrolizumab and chemotherapy is superior to placebo and chemotherapy in regards to Progression-Free Survival (PFS) or overall survival (OS) in participants with programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) combined positive score (CPS) ≥1 and ≥10.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus belzutifan plus lenvatinib or pembrolizumab/quavonlimab plus lenvatinib versus pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib as first-line treatment in participants with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The primary hypotheses are (1) pembrolizumab plus belzutifan plus lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), in advanced ccRCC participants; and (2) pembrolizumab/quavonlimab plus lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib with respect to PFS and OS, in advanced ccRCC participants.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of lenvatinib (E7080/MK-7902) plus pembrolizumab (MK-3475) plus chemotherapy compared with chemotherapy alone in participants with advanced/metastatic gastroesophageal cancer. The primary study hypotheses are that lenvatinib plus pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy is superior to chemotherapy alone for both overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR), in participants with programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) Combined Positive Score (CPS) ≥1 and in all participants.
A study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of fenebrutinib on disability progression and relapse rate in adult participants with RMS. Eligible participants will be randomized 1:1 to either fenebrutinib or teriflunomide. Open-Label Extension (OLE) phase is contingent on a positive benefit-risk result in the Primary Analysis of the study.
