There are about 3961 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Finland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The objective of this research project is to understand and to improve workers´ recovery from work stress. Although recovery during lunch breaks is the most common within-workday break, it has received only minor research attention. Therefore, we will study whether lunch breaks including a relaxation session or exposure to nature have more favorable outcomes than usually spent lunch breaks concerning: a) recovery processes, b) health, c) well-being, d) job performance and e) creativity. We approach recovery by combining the theoretical frameworks of work and environmental psychology.
To review the safety and efficacy of injections with Ozurdex (700 μg dexamethasone) in clinical practice management of patients with DME.
The purpose of this study was to offer patients who had participated in one of the phase II PK or phase III studies on FK506E (MR4) the possibility to continue FK506E (MR4) until commercial availability of the drug and to record long term efficacy and safety data.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the addition of veliparib plus carboplatin and paclitaxel versus the addition of placebo plus carboplatin and paclitaxel in adults with advanced or metastatic squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Evaluate the reversal of the anticoagulant effects of dabigatran by IV administration of 5.0g idarucizumab in patients treated with dabigatran etexilate who have uncontrolled bleeding or require emergency surgery or procedures.
The research group will choose no more than 10 patients having a lower extremity venous ulcer(s), less than 5cm diameter and with an estimated one month time of re-epithelization. In this study the investigators will follow and monitor the healing of the wound and effectiveness of compression therapy using bioimpedance measurement based method. The investigators will also treat the wounds using periodical low intensity direct current (LIDC) stimulation therapy. Bioimpedance monitoring and wound stimulation functionalities are provided by a purpose built wound patch. The patch features a printed 4 x 4 stimulation and impedance measurement electrodes array (in contact with wound surface) surrounded by a 4-part dual purpose counter and impedance reference electrodes (in contact with the intact skin surrounding the wound area).
This study is a multicenter, double-blind, randomized study to access the efficacy, safety and tolerability of Bococizumab (PF-04950615; RN316) in subjects with hyperlipidemia receiving background statin therapy.
The main objective of the SENIOR study is to establish the efficacy and safety of the everolimus eluting stent with a biodegradable abluminal polymer (SYNERGY II) associated with a short dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in patients ≥75 years old, suffering from stable angina, silent ischemia (1 month DAPT) or acute coronary syndromes (6 months DAPT) related to significant coronary artery disease and requiring percutaneous coronary intervention. The primary end point is to demonstrate that SYNERGY II in patients ≥75 years old is associated with a lower rate of the composite rate of major cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (all-cause death, myocardial infarction, stroke, ischemia-driven target lesion revascularization) and a similar risk of stent thrombosis than bare metal stent at one year.
This trial is conducted in Africa, Europe and North America. The purpose of the trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of liraglutide adjunct to insulin treatment in type 1 diabetes.
To evaluate the pharmacokinetics of the thromboprophylactic agent enoxaparin in critically ill patients by comparing plasma anti-factor Xa activity when enoxaparin is administered either as a continuous intravenous infusion or subcutaneous bolus once daily. To investigate possible ongoing coagulation by coagulation markers during antithrombotic therapy with standard doses of enoxaparin
