NCT ID: NCT03174002 Completed - Clinical trials for Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure

Handling Oxygenation Targets in the Intensive Care Unit

HOT-ICU
Start date: June 19, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Handling oxygenation targets (HOT) is standard of care in the intensive care unit (ICU), however the quality and quantity of evidence is low and potential harm has been reported. The aim of the HOT-ICU trial is to assess the overall benefits and harms of two levels of oxygenation targets in adult critically ill patients with acute hypoxaemic respiratory failure in the ICU.

NCT ID: NCT03170271 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

A Study of the Safety and Effectiveness of Benralizumab to Treat Patients With Severe Uncontrolled Asthma.

ANDHI
Start date: July 7, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of benralizumab on the rate of asthma exacerbations, patient reported quality of life and lung function during the 24-week treatment in patients with uncontrolled, severe asthma with an eosinophilic phenotype. A subset of patients will be assessed for their ongoing chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. The study design has been updated to include a 56-week open label ANDHI in Practice (ANDHI IP) sub study upon the completion of the 24-week double-blind period of the ANDHI study.

NCT ID: NCT03165617 Completed - Influenza, Human Clinical Trials

Clinical Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety and Immunogenicity of QIVc in Subjects ≥2 to <18 Years of Age

Start date: May 25, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This Phase 3/4, randomized, observer-blind, multi-center study, stratified study evaluated the immune (antibody) response, efficacy and safety of a cell-derived quadrivalent subunit influenza virus vaccine (Seqirus QIVc) in comparison with a non-influenza comparator, meningococcal serogroup A, C, W-135, and Y (Menveo®, GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, S.A.) in healthy pediatric subjects ≥2 Years to <18 Years of Age

NCT ID: NCT03158220 Completed - Cervical Cancer Clinical Trials

Immunogenicity and Tolerability of Broad Spectrum Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine in Adult and Young Adult Women (V503-004)

Start date: September 20, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will assess the safety and immunogenicity of GARDASIL®9 (V503) in 16- to 45-year-old women. The primary hypothesis of the study states that anti-HPV 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58 geometric mean titers (GMTs) at 4 weeks postdose 3 are non-inferior in adult women as compared with GMTs in young adult women.

NCT ID: NCT03155100 Completed - Clinical trials for Multiple Myeloma in Relapse

Carfilzomib + Elotuzumab + Dexamethasone for Relapsed Multiple Myeloma After 1-3 Prior Treatment Lines

KEd
Start date: August 7, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The main aim of this study is to assess the ORR with a new drug combination, carfilzomib (CAR) + elotuzumab (ELO) + dexamethasone (CAR-ELO-Dex).

NCT ID: NCT03151551 Completed - Psoriatic Arthritis Clinical Trials

A Study of Ixekizumab (LY2439821) Versus Adalimumab in Participants With Psoriatic Arthritis

SPIRIT-H2H
Start date: August 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of ixekizumab versus adalimumab in participants with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) who are biologic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARD) naive.

NCT ID: NCT03148457 Completed - Ischaemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Early Versus Late Initiation of Direct Oral Anticoagulants in Post-ischaemic Stroke Patients With Atrial fibrillatioN (ELAN): an International, Multicentre, Randomised-controlled, Two-arm, Assessor-blinded Trial

ELAN
Start date: November 6, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

When to start anticoagulation in patients with an acute ischaemic stroke and atrial fibrillation (AF) is a relevant unanswered question in clinical practice. Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are highly effective for secondary stroke prevention in these patients, but DOACs were never initiated <7 days after stroke onset in recent trials. The ELAN trial will determine the net benefit of early versus late initiation of DOACs in patients with acute ischaemic stroke related to AF. The main objective is to estimate the net benefit of early versus late initiation of DOACs in patients with acute ischaemic stroke related to AF. The secondary objectives are to assess all vascular events and all-cause mortality after early initiation of DOACs in patients with acute ischaemic stroke related to AF compared to late initiation.

NCT ID: NCT03144973 Completed - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

Periodontitis and Upper gi Post-operative Complications

Start date: May 2, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Periodontitis is a infection of mouth gingival mucosa and connecting tissue. It has been shown in previous studies to have a effect on the risk of heart diseases getting worse and elevate risk in heart surgery. The investigators are studying periodontitis and how it affects upper gastrointestinal tract patients complication rates and the quality of complications.
