NCT ID: NCT03472859 Completed - Rosacea Clinical Trials

Treatment of Dilated Blood Vessels on the Cheeks With a New Yellow Laser and a Traditional Green Laser

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal is to compare a novel yellow laser, based on semiconductor technology, with traditional green laser, in the treatment of cheek telangiectasias. The trial design is randomized split-face double-blinded study with 20-30 volunteers. The improvement will be assessed using a 7-point Telangiectasia Grading Scale.

NCT ID: NCT03468621 Completed - Clinical trials for Surgical Wound Infection

Relation of Skin Closure Method to Groin Wound Infections After Proximal Femoral Artery Exposure.

Start date: March 29, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to asses whether the rate of surgical wound infections in vascular surgery procedures involving exposure of the proximal femoral artery can be reduced using a different skin closure technique.

NCT ID: NCT03464123 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiac Arrest, Out-Of-Hospital

Brain Oxygenation During Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Start date: February 24, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study is aimed to assess (a) the incidence of hyperoxia at the point of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) and (b) the role of arterial blood oxygen partial pressure to brain oxygenation during out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. 80 adult patients will be recruited in a physician staffed helicopter emergency medical services. Brain regional oxygen saturation and invasive blood pressure are monitored until hospital admission and arterial blood gases are analyzed immediately when the unit arrives to the patient and again at the time of ROSC.

NCT ID: NCT03464045 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Empa PASS on Urinary Tract Malignancies

Start date: November 16, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of the study is to assess the risk of urinary tract malignancies in patients initiating empagliflozin (free or fixed dose combination) compared to patients initiating a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor and to patients initiating other Sodium glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors (i.e. two comparator groups)

NCT ID: NCT03461744 Completed - Clinical trials for Small Bowel Obstruction

Diagnostic Scoring for Small Bowel Obstruction

Start date: June 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It is difficult to predict which patients with acute small bowel obstruction require operative intervention and which ones can be handled conservatively. Similarly, strangulation remains difficult decision. The rationale for this observative study is to collect prospective cohort of patients with small bowel obstruction to create scoring system to predict early 1) small bowel obstruction resistant to conservative therapy, 2) strangulation.

NCT ID: NCT03459885 Completed - Clinical trials for Spinal Cord Injuries

PAS for Lower Extremity Rehabilitation in Tetraplegic Patients

Start date: February 28, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators have recently shown in incomplete SCI patients that long-term paired associative stimulation is capable of restoring voluntary control over some paralyzed muscles and enhancing motor output in the weak muscles (1,2). In this study, the investigators will administer long-term paired associative stimulation to patients with incomplete cervical level SCI and investigate its effectiveness for lower extremity rehabilitation.

NCT ID: NCT03455413 Completed - Elective Surgery Clinical Trials

Quality of Perioperative Invasive Ventilation in PICU

Start date: August 3, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is purely observational study in which quality of invasive ventilation is observed with electrical impedance tomography (EIT) during perioperative intensive care. EIT parameters will be used to assess if protective ventilation strategies are successfully followed during routine care.

NCT ID: NCT03455400 Completed - Clinical trials for Spontaneous Breathing

Ventilation Distribution During Spontaneous Breathing in Healthy Newborn Infants

Start date: March 5, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is an evolving monitoring tool for respiratory support in neonatal and pediatric intensive care. In this observational study basic EIT parameters will be measured on 20 healthy newborn infants during spontaneous breathing and assess the effect of position changes in ventilation distribution.

NCT ID: NCT03446846 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of MIN-117 in Adult Patients With Major Depressive Disorder

Start date: March 30, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

MIN-117C03 is a 6-week, 3-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study to investigate the safety and efficacy of MIN-117 in male and female patients with Major Depressive Disorder, aged 18 to 65 years. Approximately 324 patients were to be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatment arms, including placebo, 2.5 mg MIN-117, or 5.0 mg MIN-117, in a 2:1:1 ratio.

NCT ID: NCT03444441 Completed - Foot Diseases Clinical Trials

Estimation of the Minimal Important Difference and Validation of Foot and Ankle Instruments

Start date: January 15, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The present study investigates the minimal important change and validity of foot and ankle measures.
