There are about 3961 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Finland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of LCZ696 compared to valsartan in the reduction of cardiovascular death and heart failure(HF) hospitalizations in patients with HF with preserved ejection fraction.
Muscle invasive bladder cancer is an aggressive malignancy. Currently the investigators lack accurate imaging technologies in clinical staging and estimation of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy as well as prognostic biomarkers. In the current study novel imaging modality (MRI/PET) is utilized to stage bladder cancer prior to transurethral resection of bladder-tumor and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Also prognostic biomarkers are studied from TUR-BT tissues, blood and urine to estimate response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
The implementation of lifestyle modifications, home blood pressure (BP) measurement, and optimization of antihypertensive drug therapy have been shown to improve BP control in tightly controlled research settings. The investigators objective is to determine the effect of these interventions in a primary care setting, with the family practitioners and nurses serving as the interventionists. The investigaotrs hypothesis is that a comprehensive intervention performed in a primary care setting would lead to better blood pressure control.
o determine effects of hula-hooping on android obesity, metabolic parameters and adipose tissue (AT) gene expression.
The objective of this study is to describe the effect of optimized retreatment with bortezomib in combination with dexamethasone followed by prolonged therapy with bortezomib, versus standard retreatment with bortezomib in combination with dexamethasone on progression free survival (PFS).
The purpose of this study was to see if adding a new type of medication recently approved to treat overactive bladder (mirabegron) to an antimuscarinic treatment (solifenacin) would be more effective in controlling incontinence than when using the antimuscarinic treatment alone.
The purpose of this study is to establish the efficacy and safety of Circadin in children with neurodevelopmental disorders and to determine the dose, this randomized, placebo-controlled study is planned to evaluate the efficacy of a double-blind, 13 week treatment period with Circadin 2/5mg in improving maintenance of sleep, sleep latency and additional parameters in children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The efficacy and safety of Circadin 2/5 mg will continue to be assessed during an open-label extension period of 13 weeks.
This multicenter, open-label, single-arm study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of obinutuzumab alone or in combination with chemotherapy in participants with previously untreated or relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This is a Post-Authorization Safety Study. Participants will receive 6 cycles of single-agent obinutuzumab or obinutuzumab in combination with chemotherapy at the investigator's discretion. Each participant will be followed until 30 months after the last participant has been enrolled. Total length of the study is anticipated to be approximately 5 years.
The objective of the study is to provide long term access to bosutinib treatment and assess long term safety, tolerability and duration of clinical benefit, without any formal hypothesis testing; therefore, there is no formal primary endpoint.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term antibody persistence as well as safety of GSK Biologicals' MenACWY-TT vaccine versus Meningitec up to 6 years after booster vaccination administered in healthy 5 year old children in the study MENACWY-TT-048 EXT: 039 Y2, 3, 4, 5 (NCT00955682), who were primed with the same vaccine in the study MENACWY-TT-039 (NCT00474266) at 12 through 23 months of age.
