There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a research study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the investigational drug Mitiperstat (AZD4831) in adult patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The overall aim of the project is to investigate how bowel habits and nutrition in early life relate to the infant gut microbiome and metabolome from birth to 1 year of age. By unravelling links between these factors in early life, we might be able to identify new putative mechanisms by which diet via microbiota-dependent pathways affects intestinal motility in early life. Furtermore, it will be explored how the development of the gut microbiome associates with the child´s development.
Investigating the physiological effects of the interferons type 1 and 2 (IFNs), and the cytokines Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) on the adaptive changes to exercise in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The investigators hypothesize that the pathogenic blockage of IL-6 signalling that occurs in SLE, will decrease the cardiac and metabolic adaptations to aerobic exercise, and this decrease can be related to the IFN signature. 55 patients was included in a 12-week investigator blinded 1:1 randomised high intensity aerobic exercise intervention study.
To assess the impact of SQ SLIT-tablets (SQ Grass SLIT-tablet and SQ HDM SLIT-tablet) in Danish and Swedish allergic rhinitis (AR) patients, with or without asthma, between 2007-2020.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of oral azacitidine in participants with low to intermediate International Prognostic Scoring System Revised (IPSS-R) myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
The primary purpose of this study is to investigate how personality, motivation & auditory lifestyle relate to hearing aid satisfaction & acceptance for first-time hearing aid users. As such, first-time hearing aid users will be followed via an app for a period of six months. They will answer baseline questionnaires about personality, lifestyle and hearing aid expectations before the first fit. After the hearing aid fitting, they will be prompted by the app to answer questionnaires about their hearing aid experience at weeks 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24.
In Denmark, 15% of children are overweight and 5% obese. Obese children and adolescents have several metabolic complications, such as pre-diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, and excess fat deposition in liver, already at a young age. In addition, obese children suffer from psychological issues such as low quality of life and anxiety. These findings underline the need for effective treatment strategies to eliminate the development of obesity-related complications. We will conduct a two-study project in order to investigate the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and lifestyle intervention in obese children and adolescents on several metabolic risk factors and psychological problems. Study 1 is a randomized controlled study including 150 obese children and adolescents recruited from the municipal obesity clinics in Northern Jutland. Study 1 will examine the value of a group based HIIT intervention in the children's local environment and investigate the association between HIIT and psychosocial wellbeing. Study 2 is a randomized controlled study including 60 severe obese children and adolescents recruited from Videnscenter for Børn og Unge med Overvægt (VIBUO) at Aalborg University Hospital. Study 2 investigates the effect of HIIT and lifestyle intervention on metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors. In both studies, the children and adolescents are 9-16 years old and will be randomized to lifestyle guidance or a combination of HIIT and lifestyle guidance for 3 months, both followed by 9 months of lifestyle guidance only. Our primary goal is to show the efficacy of HIIT and facilitate the establishment of permanent targeted training propositions for obese children and adolescents with local anchoring in the municipalities.
The purpose of the study is to find out if the investigational treatment named QUC398 has beneficial effects on osteoarthritis knee pain and knee cartilage, and if it is safe and well tolerated.
The overall primary objective of the PULSE-MI trial is to test the hypothesis that administration of single-dose glucocorticoid pulse therapy in the pre-hospital setting reduces final infarct size in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, multi-site, clinical trial to confirm the efficacy and safety of single injection of RTX-GRT7039 versus placebo in patients who have pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee despite standard of care.
