There are about 1645 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Czech Republic. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that two investigational treatment regimens have the potential to result in a superior visual acuity improvement as compared to a ranibizumab pro re nata (PRN=as needed) treatment regimen.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate efficacy and safety of the combination regimen of bortezomib-bendamustine-dexamethasone in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma
This is a pivotal phase III study, mandatory to seek approval by regulatory authorities for BI 10773 as an anti-diabetic agent compared to an active comparator in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and insufficient glycaemic control.
The purpose of this study is to assess changes in left ventricular performance using echocardiography as well as ventricular remodelling, changes in sleep and changes in mood, anxiety and cognitive functions occurring as a result of treatment of predominant central sleep apnoea by adaptive servoventilation (ASV) in chronic heart failure in addition to optimal medical therapy in chronic heart failure. This will be a substudy of the SERVE-HF study.
Evaluation of efficacy and safety of tofacitinib (CP-690,550) for the treatment of early rheumatoid arthritis in adult patients with moderate to severe disease who are methotrexate naïve. The efficacy will be evaluated by exploring the effects on joint structure assessed by magnetic resonance imaging, x-rays and by standard clinical assessment.
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety of CP-690,550 in patients being treated for moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis. This is an open label extension study available to patients who participated in one of the qualifying studies with CP-690,550 providing entry criteria is met.
Rationale for the current trial is to demonstrate 24 hour bronchodilator efficacy and safety of tiotropium 5 µg administered once daily (in the evening) which is regarded beneficial for the compliance and convenience of the patient in comparison to placebo. Further the rationale is to evaluate efficacy and safety of tiotropium 2.5 µg administered twice daily delivered by the Respimat® inhaler in comparison to placebo and tiotropium 5 µg administered once daily (in the evening) delivered by the Respimat® inhaler in patients with moderate persistent asthma. Rationale for the pharmacokinetic subinvestigation is to evaluate the 24 hours exposure to tiotropium in patients with moderate persistent asthma when administered 5 µg tiotropium once daily (in the evening) or 2.5 µg tiotropium twice daily.
The main purpose of this study is to compare progression free survival in patients treated with AZD8931 given in combination with anastrozole versus anastrozole alone. The secondary objective is to investigate the safety and tolerability of AZD8931 given in combination with anastrozole.
Primary Objective: - Demonstrate the efficacy of Dronedarone in preventing major cardiovascular events (stroke, systemic arterial embolism, myocardial infarction or cardiovascular death) or unplanned cardiovascular hospitalization or death from any cause in patients with permanent Atrial Fibrillation [AF] and additional risk factors Secondary Objective: - Demonstrate the efficacy of Dronedarone in preventing cardiovascular death This was an event-driven study where a common study end date [CSED] was to be determined by Steering Committee based on the number of events (stroke, systemic arterial embolism, myocardial infarction or cardiovascular death).
The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of 2 doses of LY2189265 on blood pressure and heart rate using 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), in participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with oral antihyperglycemic medications (OAMs).
