There are about 1645 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Czech Republic. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is an international, randomized, controlled, parallel group study in which patients with ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) will be allocated to one of the following: Manual aspiration thrombectomy with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) or PCI alone.
The present study is a randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled, two-Phase, sequential cohort, dose finding study to assess the safety and efficacy of eltrombopag in patients with solid tumors receiving gemcitabine monotherapy or the combination of gemcitabine plus carboplatin or cisplatin. Phase I of the study will examine safety and tolerability of various doses of eltrombopag to identify a dose and schedule of eltrombopag. Phase II will confirm that the chosen dose and schedule of eltrombopag from Phase I can deliver clinically meaningful benefit(s) to thrombocytopenic patients by improving platelet numbers.
The primary purpose of this study to evaluate the effect of two different doses of AZD9773 (CytoFabâ„¢) versus placebo on ventilator free days (VFDs) over the first 28 days after the start of dosing with AZD9773 in patients with severe sepsis and/or septic shock, who are already receiving appropriate standard of care treatment for sepsis.
The SyNAPSe trial will study if giving intravenous (i.v.) progesterone within 8 hours of the injury for a total of 120 hours to severe traumatic brain injury patients improves their recovery.
This is a Phase 3 multicenter, randomized study evaluating the safety and efficacy of ramucirumab DP plus BSC as a double-blind, placebo-controlled (placebo plus BSC) comparison. Approximately 544 participants, at least 18 years of age, with Child-Pugh score < 7 and diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma will be randomized. Participants must have received sorafenib as first-line systemic treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and must have discontinued sorafenib prior to entering the study. Hypothesis: This sample size will allow differentiation of the expected increase in median overall survival (OS), from 8 months in the placebo arm to 10.67 months in the ramucirumab arm. Upon registration and completion of screening procedures, eligible participants with HCC who have disease progression during or following first-line therapy with sorafenib, or were intolerant to this agent, will be randomized to receive either ramucirumab DP or placebo. The treatment regimen will be continued until radiographic or symptomatic progression, the development of unacceptable toxicity, noncompliance or withdrawal of consent by the participant, or investigator decision.
One year antibody persistence after the fourth dose boost or two catch-up doses administered starting from 12 months of age and to evaluate the response to a a third dose boost or two catch-up dose starting at 24 months of age.
The purpose of this study is to learn whether dapagliflozin, after 12 weeks, can improve (decrease) blood pressure in patients with type 2 diabetes with uncontrolled hypertension who are on an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor or an angiotensin receptor blocker. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.
This purpose of the study is to investigate the bronchodilating effects of 3 different dosages of formoterol given in combination with budesonide as Symbicort pMDI.
Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs) from the femoral approach have more bleeding complications related to access site in comparison to the radial approach in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Major bleeding and access site complications have an important role in results of PCI for ACS and lead to higher morbidity and mortality. Primary PCIs in ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) are associated with more aggressive antithrombotic treatment than in elective or semi-urgent interventions. Currently, both radial and femoral approaches are routinely used for primary PCI in STEMI. However, only non-randomized studies and registries or small randomized single center studies comparing both approaches in primary PCI have been published until now. The aim of STEMI-RADIAL trial is to evaluate potential reduction of bleeding complications in the radial approach primary PCI compared to femoral approach in randomized, multicenter study.
The aim of the present study is to investigate the safety of BI 10773 treatment in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and high cardiovascular risk.
