NCT ID: NCT06351943 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Proximal Femoral Fracture

Proximal Femur Image Database Validation

Start date: May 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The AO@AI Turin project is a collaborative project with a Turin group and the AO (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen, or in English, Association for the Study of Internal Fixation) foundation. An Image database (DB) has been built to host AP pelvic radiographs ready for artificial intelligence (AI) development. The goal of this project is to determine the agreement between the Turin annotation of fracture status and the annotation from an external group of AO expert surgeons for a random subset of the Turin images.

NCT ID: NCT06351059 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Knee

Acoustic Emission Biomarkers for the Detection and Monitoring of Early Knee Osteoarthritis

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this exploratory study is to further investigate the potential of acoustic emission biomarkers, assessed by the inmodi knee brace, to diagnose osteoarthritis (OA) at earlier stages. Therefore, 20 healthy participants and 100 patients with increased risk of knee OA will be recruited from the Schulthess Klinik in Zurich and examined twice with 9 ± 3 months' time interval. Anthropometric data, EOS radiographs and MR images of both knees, PROMs and acoustic emission data will be collected and evaluated. Artificial Intelligence algorithm will then be used to identify and validate the most promising acoustic emission biomarkers with a prognosis value in the prediction of knee osteoarthritis progress.

NCT ID: NCT06347315 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Mild Cognitive Impairment

Evaluation of the Effects of a Nutritional Intervention of Ketogenic Medium-chain Triglycerides and B-vitamins on Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults With Mild Cognitive Impairment (COGNIKET-MCI)

Start date: May 24, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Evaluation of the Effects of a Nutritional Intervention of Ketogenic Medium-chain Triglycerides and B-vitamins on Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults With Mild Cognitive Impairment (COGNIKET-MCI)

NCT ID: NCT06346392 Recruiting - Gastric Cancer Clinical Trials

AZD0901 Compared With Investigator's Choice of Therapy in Participants With Second- or Later-line Advanced or Metastatic Gastric or Gastroesophageal Junction Adenocarcinoma Expressing Claudin18.2

Start date: March 4, 2024
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy and safety of AZD0901 compared to Investigator's choice of therapy as 2L+ treatment for participants with advanced or metastatic gastric or GEJ adenocarcinoma expressing CLDN18.2.

NCT ID: NCT06346132 Not yet recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

Effect of Virtual Reality on Patient's Comfort During Cardiac Electronic Device Implantation.

Start date: April 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the effect on patient's comfort of a virtual reality experience during a procedure of cardiac electronic device implantation under local anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT06345573 Active, not recruiting - Myocardial Ischemia Clinical Trials

Heart-brain-axis and Psychosocial Stress

Start date: October 11, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main study objective is to prospectively determine the influence of sex-related risk factors and psychosocial variables on neuronal stress responses and myocardial perfusion in a population of 64 female and male individuals 50-75 years of age and free of cardiovascular disease.

NCT ID: NCT06344871 Recruiting - Brain Diseases Clinical Trials

Exploratory Study Using a New Head-only PET Scanner / ExploreNeuroLF

Start date: March 13, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The "NeuroLF prototype" is a small aperture PET scanner. The NeuroLF prototype will be used with patients, which have just finished their regularly scheduled PET examination on a clinical whole body PET system. The radioactive tracer used for this procedure will still be active. This remaining acitivity will be used for an image acquisition with the NeuroLF prototype without the need for an additional radioactive tracer dose. The control intervention is be a brain PET scan as part of standard clinical routine. It will be done immediately before the scan on the NeuroLF prototype.

NCT ID: NCT06343038 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer

Targeted Radionuclide Therapy in Metastatic Prostate Cancer Using a New PSMA Ligand Radiolabelled With Terbium-161 (161Tb-SibuDAB) - Dose Identification/Escalation Phase Ia/b Study

PROGNOSTICS
Start date: June 2024
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Researchers will test a new treatment for prostate cancer. This treatment uses an antibody tagged with a small amount of radioactive material. Researchers believe the new antibody might work better than those used before. In the first part of the study researchers will compare the new treatment to the old one on prostate cancer patients using very low doses, not strong enough to treat nor to cause strong adverse reactions. Each patient will eventually receive both treatments, but one at a time. The aim of the second part of the study is to find the best dose of the new treatment for patients. This means finding the dose that offers the most benefits with the fewest side effects. The performance of different prostate cancer diagnostic methods is also in scope of the study.

NCT ID: NCT06341517 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Schizophrenia; Psychosis

Brain Circuitry Therapeutics for Schizophrenia

ATHENA
Start date: November 5, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This project is a double blind randomized clinical trials that examines the efficacy of cerebellar non invasive stimulation for apathy improvement in patients with schizophrenia

NCT ID: NCT06340178 Not yet recruiting - Pneumothorax Clinical Trials

CT-guided Lung Biopsy Risk Optimization Method

BROM-I
Start date: April 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this randomized controlled study is to evaluate the extent to which injection of a small amount of fluid in the pleural cavity at the biopsy site may reduce the risk of pneumothoraces, in addition to patient positioning to allow biopsy in gravity-dependent areas of the lung.
