The MARVIN Chatbots to Provide Information for Different Health Conditions

This research is a continuation of a usability study with the MARVIN chatbot. The investigators aim to adapt the MARVIN chatbot to open it to other health domains (e.g. breast cancer) and populations (e.g. pharmacists). Therefore, this protocol constitutes a master research protocol that will englobe different research projects with individual chatbots. The investigators adopt an adaptive platform trial design, which will allow flexibility in handling multiple interventions adapted to different populations while retaining the characteristics of a platform trial design allowing early withdrawal of ineffective trial arms based on interim data (implementation outcomes) and introduction of new trial arms.

The Efficacy and Safety of SerpinPC in Participants With Severe Hemophilia A or Moderately Severe to Severe Hemophilia B

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of prophylactic SerpinPC administered subcutaneously (SC) to participants with severe hemophilia A (HemA) (with or without inhibitors) or moderately severe to severe hemophilia B (HemB) (without inhibitors) as part of the SerpinPC registrational program. This study consists of 3 parts: Part 1: dose-justification phase, Part 2: dose-confirmatory phase, Part 3: extension phase for participants who complete either Part 1 or Part 2. This adaptive design study has a randomized dose-justification component to investigate the efficacy and safety of SerpinPC as a therapeutic option, principally for participants with HemB without inhibitors. SerpinPC has a novel mechanism of action compared with marketed treatments and those that are in development.

ComCancer: Use of Let's Discuss Health Website by Patients With Prostate Cancer Undergoing Radiation Oncology Treatment

In Canada, the prevalence of cancer is growing and contributes significantly to health costs. The prevention and treatment of cancer is a major concern of our health system. Many men with prostate cancer develop psychological distress. The emotional consequences of a cancer diagnosis and its treatments can prevent patients from communicating effectively with their healthcare team. It is recognized that the quality of communication between cancer patients and their caregivers plays an important role in the management of their disease. However, few tools are being developed to help clinicians and patients better communicate and decrease patients' psychological distress. Let's Discuss Health (www.discutonssante.ca) is a French-language website that offers several tools to support collaboration between caregivers and cancer patients. The objectives of this research project are to assess the experience of using the Let's Discuss Health website and the impact of its use on the quality of communication between radiation oncologists and patients, the level of distress of patients with prostate cancer, recall of the information discussed as well as adherence to the trajectory in radiation oncology. The project will take place in three radiation oncology centers in Quebec. Two groups of prostate cancer patients will be recruited. Patients in the first group will be assessed on the basis of regular consultations and those in the second group will be encouraged to prepare for their medical visits using the Let's Discuss Health website. Patients and their caregivers will answer short questionnaires before and after four targeted consultations (initial visit, mid-treatment visit, end-of-treatment visit and 3-month post-treatment visit). Focus groups will also be organized to explore the impact of the website. This project offers the potential to transform clinical practices in radiation oncology to reduce the burden of cancer and improve the quality of care offered to patients with cancer.

Ultra Hypofractionnated Radiotherapy With HDR Brachytherapy Boost.

Phase 1-2 study, comparing ultra-hypofractionnated (UH) to a moderately hypofractionnated (MH) radiation therapy, with image guided HDR prostate brachytherapy. Using iso-equivalent doses, a non-inferiority analysis will be done in order to prove UH non-inferior to MH, toxicity wise. Acceptability, tolerability, acute and late toxicity will be reported. MRI visible dominant intra-prostatic lesion will be outlines and variability between radiation oncologists and radiologists will be reported. As secondary objective, biochemical and clinical failure free survival will be reported at 5 & 10 years.

Evidence Based Mental Wellness Programming Online for Adults Across Chronic Physical Conditions

Chronic physical conditions are defined as conditions that require ongoing management and treatment over extended periods of time. Chronic physical conditions are not only leading causes of death and disability in North America but they are commonly associated with mental distress and reduced quality of life. Online mind-body wellness programming ranging from physical activity to mindfulness interventions has been shown to be effective in improving mental wellness in a variety of chronic disease populations, but there is a need to evaluate scalable ways to deliver these programs. Building upon a previously developed online wellness program for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), the research team has developed a mind-body wellness program for adults ≥18 years of age living with different chronic conditions (e.g., cirrhosis, PBC, heart failure). The 12-week program will be delivered online, and include follow- along mindful movement, breathwork and meditation routines, and a psychology based coping skills program. In a three-armed randomized controlled trial, the study will assess the impact on the primary outcome of anxiety and depression as measured through the hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS). At the beginning and the end of the 12-week research study, participants will complete surveys to assess secondary/exploratory outcome measures including quality of life, fatigue, frailty, demoralization, and healthcare usage. After the program, the research team will conduct interviews with participants to allow them to share their other feedback about the program. The researchers will also send surveys to the participants eight weeks after the program ends to assess longer- term impacts on primary and secondary outcomes.

This study is researching an experimental drug called fianlimab (also called REGN3767), combined with a medication called cemiplimab (also called REGN2810), individually called a "study drug" or collectively called "study drugs". The study is focused on patients who have advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The aim of the study is to see how effective the combination of fianlimab and cemiplimab is in treating advanced NSCLC, in comparison with cemiplimab by itself. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: - What side effects may happen from taking the study drugs - How much study drug is in your blood at different times - Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drugs (which could make the drug less effective or could lead to side effects) - How administering the study drugs might improve your quality of life

The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of vixarelimab compared with placebo on lung function in participants with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and in participants with systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD). Participants who complete 52-weeks of treatment in the Double-blind Treatment (DBT) period can choose to enroll in the optional Open-label Extension (OLE) period to receive treatment with vixarelimab for another 52 weeks.

Mycophenolate Mofetil in Systemic Sclerosis With Subclinical Interstitial Lung Disease

The goal of this pilot study is to assess the feasibility of a larger study on the efficacy of mycophenolate mofetil in people diagnosed with systemic sclerosis with mild lung involvement. Participants will be recruited over 12 months at 3 academic centers and assigned randomly to receive either mycophenolate mofetil or placebo, a look-alike substance that contains no active drug, for 96 weeks.
