There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
A study to evaluate the effect of abelacimab relative to placebo on the rate of ischemic stroke or systemic embolism (SE) in patients with Atrial Fibrillation (AF) who have been deemed by their responsible physicians or by their own decision to be unsuitable for oral anticoagulation therapy.
The main objective of this clinical trial placebo controled is to evaluate the action of intraauricular topical lidocaine on tinnitus. The question to be answered is whether lidocaine is superior to placebo (distilled water) in reducing tinnitus intensity when applied topically within the external auditory canal. Tinnitus intensity will be measured using the visual analog scale and acuphenometry before and after lidocaine or placebo application.
This is a randomized controlled trial aimed to investigate the effects of different supplementary protein sources on muscle adaptations to resistance exercise. Young, healthy, recreationally active participants consuming an omnivorous diet with protein intake within recommended dietary allowance (RDA) (i.e.; 0.8-1.0 g.kg-1. d-1) will be recruited to undergo a 12-wk supervised resistance training program in combination with the intake of three 15-g daily doses (45g. d-1 total) of either a mixed plant- (i.e.; soy and pea protein) or animal-based (i.e.; whey protein) protein in drink form as a supplementary source of protein to their main meals of the day (i.e.; breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Before (PRE) and after (POST) the 12-wk intervention, participants will be assessed for body composition by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), muscle cross-sectional area (ultrasound) and fiber cross-sectional area (muscle biopsy), and maximal isotonic strength (1RM). Training consists of a resistance training (RT) program individually supervised by a researcher blinded to treatment in a laboratorial setting. Assessments will also be conducted in a blinded fashion.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that V181 is safe and well tolerated and elicits an immune response that is non-inferior to that of Butantan-DV at Day 28 post-vaccination in adults 18 to 50 years of age in Brazil. The primary hypothesis is that V181 is non-inferior to Butantan-DV for each of the 4 dengue serotypes based on geometric mean titers (GMTs) and seroconversion rates at Day 28 post-vaccination.
The goal of this clinical trial is to examine the effect plant-based diet, with a partial replacement of animal protein by plant protein, in blood sugar levels and other health risks of people with type 2 diabetes and excessive weight. The plant-based diet will be compared to a standard healthy diet according to guidelines for people with diabetes. Participants will follow a plant-based or a standard healthy diet for 24 weeks and will maintain their habitual levels of physical activity.
The aim of this clinical study is to compare the effects of tDCS, physiotherapy, and their association with the intensity and frequency of pain in women with Chronic Migraine. For this purpose, the patients included in the study will be distributed among four groups following a factorial model.
This is a phase l, single arm, prospective open, dose-escalation study in patients with relapsed or refractory CD19-positive B cell malignancies (ALL, NHL, CLL). The trial will include adult and pediatric patients. There will be three individual cohorts, defined by disease biology: pediatric ALL and aggressive pediatric NHL (Cohort 1), adult ALL (Cohort 2) and adult NHL/CLL (Cohort 3).
The purpose of this follow-up study is to describe the safety in subsequent pregnancies in participants who were previously administered the RSVPreF3 maternal vaccine or control during any prior RSV MAT study. The study participants enrolled in this follow-up study received RSVPreF3 maternal vaccination (any dose) or controls during the following prior RSV MAT studies: RSV MAT-001 (NCT03674177), RSV MAT-004 (NCT04126213), RSV MAT-010 (NCT05045144), RSV MAT-011 (NCT04138056), RSV MAT-009 (NCT04605159), RSV MAT-012 (NCT04980391) and RSV MAT-039 (NCT05169905). No intervention will be administered in this study. The exposure was the intervention (either RSVPreF3 vaccine or control) received by the study participants in the above-mentioned prior RSV MAT studies.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rocatinlimab in monotherapy and combination therapy treatment in adolescent subjects.
The main purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy (Myeloma response) of subcutaneous (SC) isatuximab treatment in combination with carfilzomib and dexamethasone in adult participants with RRMM having received 1 to 3 prior lines of therapy. After confirmation of the feasibility of SC isatuximab by manual administration, patient will be randomized to 1 of the 2 delivery methods of SC isatuximab.
