NCT ID: NCT03085810 Completed - Clinical trials for Multiple Sclerosis, Relapsing-Remitting

Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness and Safety of Ocrelizumab in Participants With Early Stage Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS)

Start date: March 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, multicenter, open-label, single-arm, phase 3b study which evaluates effectiveness and safety of ocrelizumab in participants with early stage RRMS. The study will consist of an open-label treatment period of 192 weeks and follow-up period of at least 48 weeks. The optional shorter infusion substudy will evaluate the safety of a shorter infusion of ocrelizumab in a subgroup of participants with early stage RRMS enrolled in the main MA30143 study. Approximately 700 patients will be enrolled in the substudy, and will receive additional 600 mg ocrelizumab administered in a shorter time frame.

NCT ID: NCT03078036 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

International Breast Cancer Biomarker,Standard of Care and Real World Outcomes Study

BREAKOUT
Start date: March 13, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

BREAKOUT -International Breast Cancer Biomarker, Standard of Care and Real World Outcomes Study BREAKOUT is a prospective cross-sectional cohort study of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative metastatic breast cancer patients who have started 1st line systemic cytotoxic chemotherapy. The study will estimate the prevalence of germline breast cancer susceptibility gene in an otherwise unselected population, describe the treatments administered and estimate the associated clinical outcomes of overall survival and progression-free survival amongst mutation carriers within the context of a low poly ADP ribose polymerase inhibitor treatment setting. Other exploratory analyses may be undertaken to describe somatic breast cancer susceptibility gene and other homologous recombination repair gene mutations.

NCT ID: NCT03075956 Completed - Contraception Clinical Trials

Safety, Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics of Estetrol (E4) After Single and Multiple Oral Doses in Healthy Female Volunteers

Start date: January 31, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Estetrol (E4) is being developed in two indications supporting women health care: first E4 is combined with a progestin, [drospirenone (DRSP)] and is used as a new combined oral contraceptive (COC) for the prevention of pregnancy and secondly, E4 is used alone as new hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for the treatment of menopause related symptoms. The current clinical trial is designed to collect more detailed information about the PK profile, safety and tolerability of different dosages of E4, given orally as a solid tablet.

NCT ID: NCT03071263 Completed - Hyperkalemia Clinical Trials

Spironolactone With Patiromer in the Treatment of Resistant Hypertension in Chronic Kidney Disease

AMBER
Start date: January 23, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if patiromer treatment in chronic kidney disease (CKD) subjects receiving spironolactone for the treatment of resistant hypertension will result in more persistent use of spironolactone through prevention of hyperkalemia and lead to improved blood pressure control compared with treatment with spironolactone alone (placebo).

NCT ID: NCT03070951 Completed - Uterine Fibroids Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of OBE2109 in Subjects With Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Associated With Uterine Fibroids

PRIMROSE 2
Start date: May 23, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate the superior efficacy versus placebo of OBE2109 alone and in combination with add-back therapy for the reduction of heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids in premenopausal women.

NCT ID: NCT03066830 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Efficacy and Safety of Sotagliflozin Versus Placebo in Participants With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus on Background of Sulfonylurea Alone or With Metformin

Start date: February 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objective: To demonstrate the superiority of Sotagliflozin 400 milligrams (mg) versus placebo on Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) reduction at Week 26 in participant with type 2 diabetes (T2D) who have inadequate glycemic control with a Sulfonylurea alone or in combination with Metformin. Secondary Objectives: - To compare Sotagliflozin 400 mg versus placebo based on: - Change from baseline in fasting plasma glucose (FPG). - Change from baseline in systolic blood pressure (SBP) for participants with baseline SBP ≥130 millimeter of mercury (mm Hg). - Change from baseline in SBP for all participants. - Change from baseline in body weight. - Percentage of participants with HbA1c <6.5% and <7.0%. - To evaluate the safety of Sotagliflozin 400 mg versus placebo throughout the 79-week trial.

NCT ID: NCT03066804 Completed - Clinical trials for Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

A Randomized, Double-blind Controlled Study Comparing LCZ696 to Medical Therapy for Comorbidities in HFpEF Patients

PARALLAX
Start date: August 22, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the superiority of LCZ696 over individualized medical therapy for comorbidities in reducing N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and improving exercise capacity and HF symptoms in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF).

NCT ID: NCT03063086 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials
