This study compares the medicines semaglutide with empagliflozin or metformin in people with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes. This study will look mainly at how well participant's blood sugar and body weight are controlled when they are taking the study medicines. Participants will either get semaglutide tablets, empagliflozin tablets or metformin tablets. Which treatment participants will get is decided by chance. Currently, doses of 3 milligram (mg), 7 mg and 14 mg semaglutide tablets (Rybelsus) can be prescribed in some countries. 25 mg and 50 mg semaglutide tablets are new doses. 10 mg and 25 mg empagliflozin tablets (Jardiance) can be prescribed in some countries. 500 mg metformin tablets (STADA) can be prescribed in some countries. Participants will get 1 to 4 tablets per day for 104 weeks. The study will last for about 2 years and 7 weeks (111 weeks). Participants should not have been treated for weight management 90 days before screening or never been treated with any medicine for type 2 diabetes (except diabetes during pregnancy) before screening. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or plan to get pregnant during the study period.
A Study to Learn About the Medicine Called Nirmatrelvir Used in Combination With Ritonavir in People with Weakened Immune Systems or at Increased Risk for Poor Outcomes who are Hospitalized Due to Severe COVID-19
This phase IIb study, LEONARDO is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo- controlled, parallel group study, to assess the therapeutic efficacy and safety of Plerixafor in patients over 18 years of age, - with acute respiratory failure related to COVID-19 and - Recently admitted in ICU or equivalent structure (within 48 hours) for COVID-19 related respiratory failure - without invasive mechanical ventilation and - requiring oxygen support ≥ 5L/min to obtain a transcutaneous O2 saturation > 94% A total of 150 participants, will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to receive either Plerixafor (n=100) or placebo (n=50) as a continuous IV infusion for 7 days (from D1 to D8) in addition to standard of care (e.g. glucocorticoids...). Safety data will be reviewed by an independent Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) during the study.

This study will evaluate the clinical safety and patient satisfaction with the high power magnet system for the aesthetic improvement of buttocks. The study is a prospective multi-center open-label single-arm study. The subjects will be enrolled and assigned into a single study group. Subjects will be required to complete four (4) treatment visits and three follow-up visits - 1 month, 3 months and 12 months after the final treatment. Study will be conducted at several study sites. At the baseline visit, subject's weight will be recorded. Subjects will receive Buttocks Evaluation Questionnaire to fill in. The treatment administration phase will consist of four (4) treatments, delivered twice a week. The applicator will be applied over the gluteal area. Visible contractions will be induced by the device. At the last therapy visit, the subject's weight will be recorded. In addition, subjects will receive Subject Satisfaction, Buttocks Evaluation and Therapy Comfort Questionnaires to fill in. Safety measures will include documentation of adverse events (AE) including subject's experience of pain or discomfort after the procedure. Following each treatment administration and at the follow-up visits, subjects will be checked for immediate post-procedure adverse event assessment. Post-procedure evaluation (follow-up visits) will be conducted 1 month, 3 months and 12 months after the final treatment. A weight measure will be conducted. Also, subject's satisfaction and buttocks evaluation will be noted.
