NCT ID: NCT03234686 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Mild Cognitive Impairment

Deferiprone to Delay Dementia (The 3D Study)

Start date: January 19, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is a phase 2, randomised, placebo-controlled, multicentre study to investigate the safety and efficacy of Deferiprone in participants with Prodromal Alzheimer's Disease (pAD) and Mild Alzheimer's Disease (mAD). In this phase 2 study, the investigators aim to determine whether Deferiprone (15 mg/kg BID orally) slows cognitive decline in Alzheimer's patients. As secondary outcomes, safety and iron levels in the brain will be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT03227042 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Mucopolysaccharidosis Type IIIB

A Prospective Natural History Study of Mucopolysaccharidosis Type IIIB (MPS IIIB)

Start date: November 16, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a natural history study for children up to 18 years of age who have been diagnosed with Mucopolysaccharidosis Type IIIB (MPS IIIB, also known as Sanfilippo Syndrome Type B). Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIB is a severe neurodegenerative disorder. The information gathered from this trial may help inform the design and interpretation of subsequent interventional studies. No clinical intervention or study drug is provided by Allievex in this study.

NCT ID: NCT03222609 Active, not recruiting - Myelofibrosis (MF) Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating Tolerability and Efficacy of Navitoclax Alone or in Combination With Ruxolitinib in Participants With Myelofibrosis

REFINE
Start date: October 31, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2 open-label, multicenter study evaluating tolerability and efficacy of navitoclax alone or when added to ruxolitinib in participants with myelofibrosis.

NCT ID: NCT03220841 Active, not recruiting - Crohn Disease Clinical Trials

Stricture Definition and Treatment (STRIDENT) Drug Therapy Study

STRIDENT
Start date: October 9, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Two thirds of patients with Crohn's disease require intestinal surgery at some time in their life. Intestinal strictures, that is narrowing of the bowel due to inflammation and scarring, are the most common reason for surgery. Despite the high frequency, associated disability, and cost there are no are no treatment strategies that aim to improve the outcome of this disease complication. The STRIDENT (stricture definition and treatment) studies aim to develop such strategies.

NCT ID: NCT03215706 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Nivolumab and Ipilimumab Combined With Chemotherapy Compared to Chemotherapy Alone in First Line NSCLC

CheckMate 9LA
Start date: August 24, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Nivolumab, Ipilimumab combined with chemotherapy is more effective than chemotherapy by itself when treating stage IV NSCLC as the first treatment given for the disease

NCT ID: NCT03211247 Active, not recruiting - Peanut Allergy Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy Study of Viaskin Peanut in Peanut-allergic Young Children 1-3 Years of Age

EPITOPE
Start date: July 31, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study aims to assess the safety and efficacy of Viaskin Peanut to induce desensitization to peanut in peanut-allergic children 1 to 3 years of age after a 12-month treatment by EPicutaneous ImmunoTherapy (EPIT).

NCT ID: NCT03210103 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Oropharyngeal Cancer

Primary Radiotherapy Versus Primary Surgery for HPV-Associated Oropharyngeal Cancer

ORATOR2
Start date: January 26, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this randomized treatment de-escalation study is to formally compare outcomes in HPV related oropharyngeal cancer tumors treated with a primary radiotherapy versus a primary surgical approach, to provide a high level of evidence to guide the selection of treatment options for a subsequent phase III trial

NCT ID: NCT03201965 Active, not recruiting - Amyloidosis Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Daratumumab in Combination With Cyclophosphamide, Bortezomib and Dexamethasone (CyBorD) Compared to CyBorD Alone in Newly Diagnosed Systemic Amyloid Light-chain (AL) Amyloidosis

Start date: October 5, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of daratumumab plus cyclophosphamide, bortezomib and dexamethasone (CyBorD) compared with CyBorD alone in treatment of newly diagnosed amyloid light chain (AL) amyloidosis participants.

NCT ID: NCT03193801 Active, not recruiting - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

PARTNER 3 Trial - Mitral Valve in Valve

Start date: February 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To assess the safety and effectiveness of the SAPIEN 3 transcatheter heart valve in patients with a failing mitral bioprosthetic valve.

NCT ID: NCT03189173 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Combined Upper-airway and Breathing Control Therapies for Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Start date: September 6, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The current study combines two treatments for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), oral appliances and supplemental inspired oxygen. The following aims will be tested: Aim 1. To determine whether supplemental inspired oxygen further reduces OSA severity (apnea-hypopnea index) in patients using an oral appliance. Aim 2. To determine whether baseline OSA phenotypes can predict the efficacy of oral appliances versus supplemental oxygen versus both treatments in combination. We will test whether responders to oral appliances have distinct pathophysiological characteristics compared with oxygen responders.
