A study to investigate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of the monoclonal antibody VYD222 in healthy adult participants.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ocular comfort of 3 ocular lubricants and a comparator.
The main purpose of this study is to explore experiences and understand the unmet needs of people with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) among those who are being managed with basal insulin and those who are insulin naïve in order to understand perspectives for a once weekly insulin option; including any potential barriers to being managed with insulin therapy overall. Study participants will be recruited to complete a 15-minute self-administered online survey.
The present study OVX836-006 aims principally to: - Confirm feasibility of the concomitant administration of the vaccines under normal clinical conditions, i.e. as two separate concomitant injections into opposite arms; - Introduce an additional representative brand of Quadrivalent Inactivated Influenza Vaccines ; - Demonstrate the absence of interaction between OVX836 and Quadrivalent Inactivated Influenza Vaccines on the Hemagglutinin response; - Demonstrate the absence of interaction between OVX836 and Quadrivalent Inactivated Influenza Vaccines on the nucleoprotein response; - Evaluate the absolute vaccine efficacy of OVX836 compared to placebo in order to corroborate the efficacy signals previously detected in the OVX836 previous studies; - Evaluate the combined vaccine efficacy of OVX836 + Quadrivalent Inactivated Influenza Vaccines versus OVX836 + placebo, and versus double placebo.

Nitrate is a controversial component of vegetables, meat, and drinking water. The now well-established benefits of nitrate, through the enterosalivary nitrate-nitrite-nitric oxide (NO) pathway, on cardiovascular risk factors and long-term cardiovascular disease risk are tarnished by a continuing concern about a link between nitrate ingestion and cancer. This can result in misguided advice to avoid consumption of high-nitrate leafy green vegetables by both the media and the scientific literature. A recent media headline stated, "Cancer alert over rocket: trendy salad leaves exceed safe levels of carcinogenic nitrates in one in every ten samples". One scientific review stated, "the presence of nitrate in vegetables, as in water and generally in other foods, is a serious threat to man's health". Controversy in the literature, and gaps in the knowledge are leading to confusing messages around vegetables that may play a critical role in cardiovascular health. The major dietary sources of nitrate are vegetables, meat, and drinking water. Source of nitrate could be a crucial factor determining whether the consumption of nitrate is linked with beneficial (such as improving cardiovascular health) versus harmful (N-nitrosamine formation) effects. For example, unlike meat and water-derived nitrate, vegetables contain high levels of vitamin C and/or polyphenols that may inhibit the production of N-nitrosamines. So far, no study has investigated the formation of N-nitrosamines after consumption of these different sources in humans. This study will compare N-nitrosamine formation after intake of water with and without added nitrate.
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the pneumococcal 21 valent conjugate vaccine (V116), and to evaluate the serotype-specific opsonophagocytic activity (OPA) post-vaccination with V116 and PCV15 (a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine that includes 15 serotypes) + PPSV23 (comprised of the polysaccharides from 23 of the serotypes causing disease in adults) post-vaccination. within each vaccination group separately.
The main aim is to evaluate the effect of TAK-861 on symptoms of narcolepsy, including excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) as measured by sleep latency from the Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT). The study will enroll approximately 60 participants and they will be randomly assigned to 3 groups (20 per group) to take one of two different doses of TAK-861 or a placebo. All the participants will receive the treatment for 8 weeks. Participants will be asked to complete some questionnaires during the study. This trial will be conducted in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
